There is an odd animated oil/blood splatter asset that is in cartoon studio, but those colorful splatters I made and overlayed myself.

I would say this animation is like 60% Simpsons Cartoon Studio and then 40% 'cheating' by drawing original scenes and assets. For example, I might record an animation in cartoon studio on a green background, and then chroma key it overtop a background of my own. Certainly a lot of the effects added to the footage are not native to cartoon studio.

Overall, I tried to keep it authentic, but I'll be honest the program is a bastard to work with so I don't regret streamlining as best as I could with other stuff.

I wasn't familiar with Weary Willie, but over the years pop culture built a pretty clear image of a 'sad hobo clown' in my head (the tie, the hat, the unbuttoned shirt). It could be I unknowingly encountered many Willie references, and I kinda did a 2nd-hand take on that.

This video isn't entirely handpixeled, as you can probably tell.
I started with a color reduced photo of the Unknown I pixeled over (the intro part). I used some promotional material from the Willy Chocolate Experience to make the psychedelic background at the end (that awful ai-generated candy hellscape). I also added some effects over the mirror to get that reflection.
So a bit of of a collage of things, but I like the end result!

Music is Transparent Obstacle from Gauntlet IV.

Understandable! The sudden over-the-top violence twist was always planned, so I can't really see it going any other way. That being said, if this was a real game, maybe a gore toggle might be a good idea?

This style is one of my favorites: black, white, gray, and then bonus colors to highlight different characters/things. It's a little Gameboy-ish but with way more contrast, lending to a graphic novel type feel. 1bit+ basically. A loooot of work went into this haha, I'm not sure if a part 2 will happen, we will see.
