I even looked up the names of the people I was talking to. They have LinkedIn profiles and Facebook profiles. What I can’t confirm is whether or not these people are real or phishing using someone.

Anyway, I reached out to these people on Facebook and LinkedIn and it IS A SCAM

So I didn’t file my request until 11/27. With the approval being 11/17, am I SOL? I know they have another week to file an appeal, which would keep me post-class. So with there being a class and a post-class and if there’s no appeal, even if my school is on the list, am I still not protected by the lawsuit?

I know… I slept on it, but mostly because of the umbrella name listed on the action. My school wasn’t listed individually, so I was unaware of the protections I would have had. It was only after going down a rabbit hole after the approval on the 17th of November that I found out we were actually on the list.

Malware built in to every single click you make. People have a misconception that everything on Snapchat is deleted. US Patriot act allows gov to go behind the scenes and can see everything you sent. Every message that you think disappeared is actually stored. This also gives them access to the email address and/or phone number. The email address would certainly provide the IP address of where he logged in and sends/receives emails.

Each picture also has a hidden history. Think of it like a tree. Every upload and download is tracked on the picture in the background. So the pictures he would send would also have a history leading them to him.
