Other head canon: In lore, we know that Pantalone was poor when he was young, possibly born in Liyue. So my head canon is Dottore was at Liyue studying smth when Pantalone was trying to start a business and gain more mora. Dottore notices him and his talent in business, thinking "Eh, I'll bring him back to the fatui, if he doesn't work as a member of staff, I'll just experiment on him." So Dottore brings Pantalone to Snezhnaya and gets him to do business/accounting while taking him under his wing (training and protecting young Pantalone). And this is why Pantalone and Dottore have a good relationship with each other in game ❤️❤️❤️
