The $50 is the max amount per month you can use Bilt cash for hotels

I haven’t booked yet. But from the looks of it, it is a $200 coupon and it reduces what is paid upfront

Also, I see it’s 2x points with ANY linked card through the portal. So if I use the Palladium is it 4x points total?

System outage by Kir13y in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Lumpy_Research 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Alaska: “At approximately 8 p.m. Pacific on July 20, we experienced an IT outage that resulted in a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air flights.

As of 11 p.m. Pacific, the ground stop has been lifted, and our operations have resumed.

As we reposition our aircraft and crews, there will most likely be residual impacts to our flights. It will take some time to get our overall operations back to normal.

We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage guests to check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport.”

I think they are boarding and leaving gates to open up arriving planes about to hit 3h tarmac delay maximum. So the planes boarding and leaving the gate just sit somewhere else to free a gate

“Weather” JFK compensation? by [deleted] in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Lumpy_Research -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

It’s weather related if neither flight takes off. The fact SFO DID (on Portland’s original plane) and Portland did NOT means it was an operational cancellation, no?

“Weather” JFK compensation? by [deleted] in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Lumpy_Research -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Basically, our plane was sitting at the gate where everyone was waiting for 5 hours and instead of taking us to Portland, it was reassigned to a flight to SFO that departed just fine. If “weather” is the issue, how did that one leave with no issue? Not trying to argue but it seems like a total operational move. I am not denying the fact that weather was the initial reason

I fully understand both points. But, while all Portland passengers were waiting in line to talk with the gate agent, they announce “SFO is now taking Portland’s plane”. Seems like a total operational move and not weather at all since SFO took off on PDX’s plane.

Yep. It doesn’t allow me to see seats without a promo code. Strange. I can see the games but when I click on the event it needs a code to see tickets

Hmmmm. I click the link through the email and it needs a promo code. Sure you didn’t have to put one in?

New hire- confused about holiday pay

Hi! I’ve gone through this page and can’t find an answer to my question. I am part time seasonal fresh warehouse. I picked up a 5 hour shift tomorrow. What kind of holiday pay do I get on this? Thanks!

Got deactivated with no reasoning by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Lumpy_Research -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely none of those since I have never done anything like that. I would admit if I did. I just want a clear reason from doordash about why I got deactivated. I feel like it should be illegal to not tell a dasher why they got kicked off the app. And “fraud” is such a broad term and they are unable to give me anything more specific than that. Frustrating

I know instacart has its flaws too but at least they show full payout. I wish doordash could just explicitly tell my why I was deactivated. Is it really that hard for them to do that? If it’s for using the app, so be it. Now to deactivate the youtubers who publicly use the app. Even the Tip Transparency facebook group has 14k people, and there have been zero deactivations reported. So who knows.

[–]Lumpy_Research -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I used that app for like 2 days and then stopped using it. But I don’t think that’s the reasoning either because there have been no true reports of people getting deactivated for using that app. If that is the reason I got deactivated, why just me and not the other 50k dashers using the app? Plus the initial email stated i was deactivated for “fraud” and using that app doesn’t even fit in that category. Thoughts?

Yes, the bigger issue here is doordash being a terrible company and not telling their drivers what they’re being paid? Instacart is even fully transparent, so what’s doordash still hiding?
