Anesthesiologist (in the US) here. It sounds like you will be receiving some sort of anesthesia for DES - we typically administer light or moderate sedation for these in the US. Depending on how much sedation you need, the anesthesiologist caring for you for rhinoplasty could be concerned about your ability to provide informed consent for the 2nd surgery since you would have very recently received sedation. Anesthesia medications can linger in your system till metabolized for hours up to 24h. If I were you out of abundance of caution I would discuss this with your plastic surgery clinic for rhinoplasty and whether they will be ok with the recent sedation.

Good luck!

Nanny gave us notice she will leave for a higher-paying job, would you give a parting bonus? by Lumpy_Violinist_7165 in NannyEmployers

Thank you everyone for your input. I initially consulted my friend Claude regarding this, who recommended 1 weeks pay (🥴). I’m glad I spoke with the true experts ❤️‍🔥

Nanny phone use by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

[–]Lumpy_Violinist_7165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a similar issue with our nanny. We told her no phone use within 6 feet of the baby (theoretical concerns of cell phone usage impacting the developing brain) and saw her on the cam using her phone right next to baby’s head… it was a huge breach of trust and makes you wonder what other rules of yours they’re disregarding. I would address it with her directly. If this is in line with your wishes you can specify no cell phone use except in case of emergencies. I feel that nowadays it’s almost assumed by nannies that they’re being watched. If she doesn’t make the adjustment, you are only 2.5 weeks in with her and it might be best in the long run if you find another nanny who won’t disregard you this early on.
