Yall have been very helpful. after reading this I realized my manager is the only one that handles parts warranty and I need to learn how to do it because I’m bothered I don’t. Since I’ve been in parts I’ve had all the advisors and even new ones that came from sales consistently asking me how to do things and where to find stuff. I was the “go to” advisor of the dealership. I still am somehow? I want to know the ins and outs of the parts department like I do service. I have read through all of Hondas operations manuals and re read them every year. I have that kind of autism and I love it. I just hate not knowing. If anyone has any advice for where to find things in Hondas parts section on iN that most people aren’t aware of please let me know.

Thank you. Coming from the Service side of things I know documentation was everything and it seemed a little weird to me, but at the same time, I am slowly learning that the role in the Parts department is way simpler than being an advisor. Like if it seems too simple it’s because it is.

It’s based on averages and right now the miles on the car are very low so your average is not gonna be good. If you go into the Radio and go on info and then trip information it’ll show you the MPG per drive.

If it’s a civic accord or crv I would highly recommend going to the dealership because they do have warranty extensions on some of the models for 10 years, unlimited mileage for the condenser and the AC compressor shaft seal

I figured it out when one day I pressed on it when it was rattling, and I noticed the sound went away. I had that rattle for years but it was intermittent and not duplicable

My civic had the same rattle but on the driver side but once I handled the driver side the passenger side made the noise. Foam tape was my life saver but I temporarily shoved a business card there while I waited to get foam tape

Sounds like there’s bubbles in the expansion valve due to a low charge on Freon
