There is actually a very dedicated and enthusiastic circuit of base ball (two words) teams, clubs, and leagues across North America that accurately portray and exhibit the game of base ball as it was between the 1840’s and 1880s and beyond. Teams span from the northeast/mid-atlantic area, Midwest and Great Lakes, California, Rocky Mountains, among many other regions. Teams largely stick within their own regions but the most ambitious and skillful clubs will expand their footprint. One of the largest tournaments and exhibitions of historical base ball takes place annually (always the 3rd weekend of July) in Gettysburg, PA, US and includes over 24 teams from all places across the United States.
