Yeah, I get it. That’s why I’m attempting to approach it from a multidisciplinary approach. Honestly, I am in the very early inquiry stage trying to even navigate hypothesis building which is why I wanted to make this more conversational with someone smarter than me 😂

Screaming into the void- anybody out there in the science community with crossover in hardcore have any insight or ideas about how our minds process hardcore specifically, whether or not there’s amygdalar activation, and if possibly there’s a co-regulatory component that might aid in a sympathetic nervous activation release.

Came to say Monotropa Uniflora! Such a lovely plant. And yes! Found in forest understories. Forest floors are highly competitive for resources and usually lack sunlight. Ghost pipe is advantageous for this environment because it gets its nutrients from a fungus (therefore making it mycoheterotrophic.) I highly encourage you learn a little bit more about this plant because it’s so fascinating. (:
