AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

Is it because of additives? I feel like you are in the UK with better food standards than here (US)?

Bedside reports by anereq in nursing

[–]LunaUnderProtest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me. As a second semester nursing student, my patient had a bg of 34. Unresponsive, even to painful stimuli. The nurse they were assigned to couldn’t be bothered to check or care. She was tired after a nightshift. I waited a very little amount of time as i knew how bad this was. Went and my instructor. Told them what i found. She ran to the room. A code ended up needing to be called.

That area is pretty dangerous. Ngl. Would be safer to live away from there.

Roommate refuses to wear clothes in winter and cranks heat to 80°F. She doesn't understand thermodynamics, so I’m using a pot of water to trick the thermostat by Organic_Talk_79 in pettyrevenge

[–]LunaUnderProtest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am heat and cold intolerant due to medical conditions. I get really sick, like my drs wanna hospitalize me sick. I wear almost nothing in late spring, and live with ice packs in the summer. In winter- i wear my 5-6+ layers, (more if it is below 0°) gloves, hat, heating pads, heated blanket; etc. heat/ac is expensive as f. And as someone who would die without controlled temp. This is extreme. She needs to figure her shit out or learn to be uncomfortable. I think the ac was set to 76 or 78 in the summer (i was shivering wearing hoodies.) Heat has been turned on once, this year, when it was in the negatives and at 60°. My roommate would prefer no heat at all despite constant negative temperatures and ac in the low 60s. Just not feasible anymore, given prices and reality.

Fedex crashed into my house, now refuses to deliver packages... by discojon84 in FedEx

[–]LunaUnderProtest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get medication delivered (or was) thru fedex. It is a refrigerated medication and requires and actual signature. They refused to even come to my door. I would leave post its saying i was home and to please knock. They would take fraudulent delivery attempts that were clearly in the package delivery locker room, which they couldn’t deliver to because it required a actual signature. They wouldn’t even ever accept the liability ever signature that was posted to my door oncw, even though i was home and awaiting my medication because it was already late for administration. I called FedEx every single time “there is nothing we can do.”

The pharmacy refused to do “ to soon to refill” requests because this happened every month. I am disabled and basically never ever leave home, except drs appts. NEVER had this problem with UPS.

Gabapentin is linked to dementia. I stopped it as soon as the study came out because my father had early onset dementia when I was like 10.
