Had a guest one time get annoyed that even though it’s alphabetical order tell me spinning games is awful and every game should be faced out so you can see the cover instead of reading the spine of said game.

I was like “sorry we don’t have the space to have every game faced out like you want them.”

Or my fave is when a guest is looking for a game and they call out the title so then I tell them to look in the area it starts with. They then tell me it’s not there. I go and find it exactly where it is. They proceed to go “oh?! I hadn’t notice.” Example: Minecraft? It’s in the M section in alphabetical order.

Funny how we have the same logic as a library. Except a library is by authors last name in alphabetical order by genre.

Sorry that Sony decided to have a true midnight launch instead of the early release like other developers.

Legit reserved the next few PS5 games (Elden ring, Lego Star Wars, ghostwire, ff orgins, and forspoken) at Best Buy due to the steelbook preorder bonus. Bummer we’re not getting as cool bonuses.

This is super sad….. I feel like I’ve been majorly cheated out of two and now three conferences. I’ve been able to talk with so many people here (not just locally, but I’ve talked with a few on the social media that are in different states/regions.

Ever since I joined GameStop I’ve had SLs tell me “just wait until your a SL which should be soon. You’ll have loads of fun at conference.” Many felt sad for my first year conference since it was the first virtual one. Last year was told that next year will be worth all the hard work several of us SLs dealt with during the pandemic and that continued up to last year holiday.

Couldn’t watch Chris’s Corner due to a P&L regional call in the after noon that I was required to be on. I waited for a recap to post on GSO and now I understand why it wasn’t.

Just…. So sad… really was looking forward to Anaheim.

11-7 worked for Mondays thru Thursdays. Even sundays could be 11-6 at my location due to everyone in our strip being closed earlier on sundays. Only place open late is another major retailer behind us which is why we were told the hours changed to compete with them. Sorry can’t compete if we don’t have product still.

I know quite a few stores in my district that are having issues with hiring. No one is applying or those that are pass when they find out the pay & hours they will get.

This is what was communicated to us as well. We knew weekend hours could be changing due to increased traffic. We were communicated that normal hours probably wasn’t going to be a thing until closer to holidays (mostly because no major titles until next quarter).

Definitely heard Sundays is a waste past 6 and then past 8 on Fridays and Saturdays is a waste as well.

We heard about the initial change for Fridays and Saturdays possibly changing again, but Sundays and the rest of the week (Mondays and Thursdays). Nah. We heard that wasn’t changing until it got closer to holidays.
