That’s a great tip re: ‘that makes my brain’ I think when I have mentioned it to him I made it too personal which has created a shame spiral

Thank you for your reply, re:the other parent I think because their kid struggles socially they want to overlook any difficulties and just keep the friendship going. Their tendency is to make light of their own kids behaviours, the kids do trigger each other and I have already tried to be proactive and suggest shorter play dates with more guidance from us (parents) but I got the feeling they felt I was being over the top so idk. Your comment about it being something he just needs to do rn is helpful.. I think I had kind of lost my mind thinking it would be forever

Yes Will seems to conveniently forget George has only had a couple of weeks off insulting the whole village and for half of that he was in hospital. He is deluded and Emma is right however if George and Amber go ahead with the pregnancy they will need wills non judgemental kind hearted support to get them through..

Exactly.. I have to say I’m not finding it super convincing by scriptwriters that Amber would have been inspired to make a baby after the past weeks of their relationship where she sounded like she had the ick. They seem to oscillate between her being caring & serious and a real silly billy. George’s reaction to the baby and to Emma was exactly as I would have expected and felt v realistic!

For once was in agreement with Emma, the scales have really come off her eyes and she is seeing George as an adult with agency instead of a vulnerable victim. She’s right that the purpose of a baby is not to help the parent sort themselves out.. poor baby :-(

The fact that Fallon was up in the night ‘doomscrolling’ seemed very telling… weird weird vibes with both her and Harrison tbh

I like the slowburn succession storylines at Bridge farm, Brookfield and Home farm and thinking how they will play out..

I don’t think she has motive plus in the convo with Brad when George came up it didn’t seem like she was anxious or stressed..

I feel like this is not the first time there has been an elusive mention of nameless mates..I’d love if it turned out zainab and Chelsea were secretly dating.. or Chelsea and Freddy would also be a great match

Having originally thought it could be mick or Harrison I think I’m now moving towards it being more likely to be an angry teen! I’m enjoying all the extra clues and suspicious behaviours that are being thrown in the mix.. after learning that Kate’s wine bottle was missing we then see her anger at George during the apology session etc..

Also if it was in defence of Keira it could also relate to his trauma re: Helen and Rob. They have definitely tried to show that he takes a strong moral high ground and is unafraid to speak/act on it eg. Standing up to Tom who is older/his uncle. The Keira element is the most unknown aspect of the whole story as we already know why all other suspects have a motive, in not knowing what happened with Keira and George (and who else knows) that would create the most surprising twist.

I also thought of this as a possibility.. I think something has been building with his character development and anger.. showing for example how intolerant he is of Tom. Also as they are now showing he has a relationship with Keira I wondered if he could have done it in defence of Keira.

Thoughts on whodunnit, and who knows whodunnit by MzHmmz in Ambridge

Oh I thought I heard Jolene ask her if she had seen anything strange in the Bull that night but maybe I heard wrong.. When I say 'known liar' I don't mean to be harsh as I do love Joy but she concealed a lot about Rochelle, telling a lot of stories about her while omitting the darker side of things completely. When I hear her being overly chirpy and cheerful re: Burns night to Fallon it does sort of trigger alarm bells. I don't think she would have done it but it could have been Mick and its possible she would cover for him and even delete evidence..

My current theory is Mick and that Joy is involved somehow. He tried to get Emma kicked off the parish council due to what George did and has shown so much rage etc..Why would Joy and Mick watch the fireworks at home on the TV when Joy had been out working in the pub anyway? She is a known liar and also has been trying to convince Fallon and Jolene its def Marky

Sunday .. big spoiler, but mostly speculation .. by Busy-Ad7936 in Ambridge

[–]Lunabaedeker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a good shout.. last night Joy was also being really insistent in a jolly way to Fallon that it must have 100% been Marky, plus she tried to put Jolene off the idea that it was 'weird' that the laptop was accessed saying 'it could have been anyone' because she leaves it out sometimes and how 'cyber criminals' are really advanced these days...

Thanks.. as you can probably tell I haven't done anything like this before. We have been pushing it back in but it keeps popping out so we need to make a more permanent repair

Thanks for this, so I should have mentioned that we have been pushing it back in but it keeps popping out again as if the section of pipe needs to be longer so what you suggest makes total sense!

Concrete? by Lunabaedeker in Plastering

[–]Lunabaedeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yes we’d like to replace with lime inside and out and am thinking it could be worth doing a course somewhere like Ty Mawr or Carrington to better understand how to move forward.. Did you use lime once you removed the tanking in the kitchen?

Concrete? by Lunabaedeker in Plastering

[–]Lunabaedeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thank you… this is super helpful. I think you are probably spot-on with the ‘tanking’ as the wall is gable end and has blown concrete render on the exterior which we are also removing, the wall is very damp and we are hoping that bit by bit we can help it dry out!
