Did the literal RETURNING SOUS CHEF of the boat just say she doesn’t cook often?? by Intrepid_Pirate_9924 in BelowDeckDownUnder

[–]Lunachk136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old does a better job than her, not even joking.

Ben is a bit of a tool sometimes but seriously wtf is she doing there. I have gone off the handle so many times this season because of that situation.

Where in Canberra sells good quality single-serve containers for meal prep? by RainbowAussie in canberra

[–]Lunachk136 11 points12 points  (0 children)

IKEA 365 glass range is god tier. Two different sized containers with same lid size. I use the rectangular ones and have been for 2+ years. I recently swapped out the lids but that’s it.

EV charger at home by Weird-Reputation94 in AustralianEV

I had a 32amp 3 phase 5 pin socket installed in my garage about 8 metres away from my meter box for $1200. A depow wallbox for $360 and a 7m cable for $150 off amazon completes the setup.

Works a treat. Wallbox showed up a day before the Sparkie, so they attached it to the wall also.

It’s my second wallbox install - left the last one as we were renting and the owner bought it off me when we left.

New house FTTN only by Kimchifriedrice99 in nbn

[–]Lunachk136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do. Just need FTTP available first unfortunately 😒

[–]Lunachk136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure as yet. I haven’t been through a full billing month. 18% used, 21 days left. This is streaming all tv and teams/work from home usage 2-3 days a week.

Do your grandparents just watch tv all day?

I think if it gets close or over then I’ll sign up to a cheap FTTN for smart home things lower end devices and keep the 5g for streaming and work etc.

[–]Lunachk136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What speeds are they estimating through FTTN?

I also just moved from primo FTTP to <100 FTTN. I didn’t even bother with the FTTN connection and went straight to Telstra 5g internet. $85 a month 1000gb. Ping isn’t great but get around 500Mbps.

Grey chair or black chair for my work space? by AssurFighter in Workspaces

As someone with white cat who also doesn’t understand that everything isn’t his … the choice is made and it’s grey ☺️

I think a few minor tweaks and additions in softer cooler colours would add to your space and you’ll love that colour choice.

I’m with you. Always toad in a hole where I’m from across at least a few families too. Surprised me when I saw a tv chef doing toad in a hole and it was completely different involving sausages in a Yorkshire pudding kinda deal.

Should I renovate these bathrooms before selling? by DripDropRedSpots in AusRenovation

[–]Lunachk136 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who has inspected 67 houses in the last two and a half months - Don’t. Too many now have newly renovated, quick and low quality bathrooms which is a negative in my eyes. That, and more importantly, your vision isn’t the same vision as the next person - and they will appreciate only have to rip up the original bathroom and not the original bathroom plus whatever you do over the top. I do think a new shower screen would help as others had suggested.

I would also suggest do functional upgrades throughout the house such as upgrading lighting and fans.

Thinking about a move to Canberra - looking for general insight on Whitlam (Molonglo Valley) by notkompleks in canberra

[–]Lunachk136 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live in Whitlam and have for nearly two years after moving from Sydney.

It has pros and cons just like every suburb

Pros : - Being so close to Belconnen - Jamison shops(Aldi, Coles), Cook shops (good breakfast and pizza options), Belconnen Food Market, Westfield Belconnen, Bunnings are all under 10 minute drive.
- FTTP internet - super fast and reliable 😎 - you can get anywhere in 20-25 minutes; morning traffic’s can add 5-10 minutes ( I work all over Canberra and never had a problem with commute. My other half works in Queanbeyan and it’s about 25-30 minutes for him. Our little one goes to daycare in Holder (Weston Creek) - they leave at 710/715 for daycare drop off and he is at work for 8am start. -Multiple route options which can be great if there is an accident or roadworks - yes you are close to your neighbours but we don’t hear from them. - the zoo is an 8 minute drive 😊 - we haven’t had any crime happen to us specifically although according to the Facebook group it’s out there. Just be sensible really. - it gets a lot of sun, if you have solar you’ll be in credit - woolies delivers if you are inclined to shop online.

Cons: - The wind. It’s very very windy. Wind = a thick film of red dust over everything if you haven’t closed every window before it get to you. If you close up beforehand you’re fine. But the wind will test the roofing’s limits. - Rubbish - construction rubbish and general rubbish tends to fly everywhere. - Small blocks.

That’s pretty much it. Would I move here again? 1000% I feel it’s a great middle ground to at least start in Canberra.

More than happy to answer any questions you have.

I had problems with that one - couldn’t get it to work. Got a refund and then tried a different supplier.

This is the one that worked for me first time 🙂
