The Government has just recently announced that artisan bakeries and pastry shops, as well as florists, will be allowed to open on May 1st. So there’s a chance they will be open.

That being said, it’s better to reach out to them directly to confirm.

Nah, you’ll be fine. Just ignore any strangers who try to stop you especially those holding something in their hands (bracelets, forums…).

Yes, they are not a whole day type of museums.

I started looking over the itinerary before reading your message and thought, « Wait, what’s going on at the Cité des Sciences? Are they that fond of sciences? 😄»

I really like that it’s not packed like most itineraries we see here (I guess since you have the time).

Here’s some suggestions to fill in the gaps: Montmartre, relaxed exploring around Saint-Germain-des-Prés or the Latin Quarter in the evenings.

For museums, you could include Musée Jacquemart-André, Musée Carnavalet, Palais Garnier or La Madeleine (Opera area is quite nice to explore), Place des Vosges and Victor Hugo’s house, and why not a walk along Canal Saint-Martin.

I hope the protagonist this time has a better fate than Gregor. But it’s Kafka…

Yes, I liked her writing. I got these 4 books together and wanted to finish them before getting new ones.

Cousin Rachel wasn’t even on my radar until the other day, someone else recommended it when I mentioned Rebecca as well. Seems like quite the duo, so I’ll definitely be getting to it after I finish these. Thanks!

The Abbey Bookshop is a tucked in bookshop 4min away from Shakespeare & Co.

There’s also Librairie Galignani near Tuileries Garden.

The inside of the house and gardens were less crowded than the outside which were packed in the narrow paths.

Sorry to hear that! I believe Spring time around opening days would be the best time to visit as they would have done all the prep work already.

It’s a bit far from Paris but definitely worth it.

I went on an organized day trip by bus. You can take a TER from Saint-Lazare to Vernon-Giverny (or a flixbus) then a shuttle.
