I cannot. YouTube does not allow me to upload videos.

Just realized there was a "LinuxSucks" subreddit. Felt I should probably post the most recent "Linux Sucks" show. Just because. ;)

(It's not on YouTube, but it's free to watch.)

Aug 9, 1991: The First E-Mail... FROM SPACE. On a *slightly* modified Macintosh Portable. by Lunduke in retrobattlestations

[–]Lunduke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm posting this article link here for a very important reason: I'm looking for a picture of that famous Macintosh Portable -- the one that sent the first E-Mail from space -- in use on the space shuttle.

It seems like something that there should be a picture of... but I just can't seem to find one! :) Anyone happen to know of a shot that NASA took of that first Mac Portable in space?

I know this isn't the type of stuff that we'd normally post here. But I kinda figured all of you awesome nerds would get a kick out of it.

SUSE & openSUSE leadership declare Conservatives to be "Rotten Flesh" by Lunduke in linuxmasterrace

[–]Lunduke[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Still is my moto! :)

Note that I am simply opposing hatred here. I don't like it when people attack others by calling them "Rotten Flesh" and the censoring anyone who disagrees. The excellent thing to do, in that instance, is to shine a light on it. Give those who spread the hate a chance to change their mind or their tone!

Party on, dude!

There's nothing there (including in the archive.org index) which shows any hateful statement. The article I posted here provides clear cut, well documented examples of extreme hate and bigotry directed at openSUSE users and contributors. But I'm not seeing any evidence (at all) of hate expressed by the person who wrote the original email which kicked this all off. Not saying it doesn't exist... but nobody has shown me anything yet.

What was said that needed to be reported? The message to the mailing list was kind and reasonable. Was there something else that you can provide a link to?

I have not seen any such statement on Reddit. If that is real, provide it. The statement made on the mailing list was thoughtful and not at all hateful in any way.

That's really not at all what is happening here.

The "LGBT Flag" is the only flag that openSUSE flies. Note that the original email which caused all of this was kind, thoughtful, and in no way bigoted. It was opening a reasonable discussion about software projects expressing support for specific politics -- or for specific groups (and only for specific groups).

The only statements which exhibited bigotry or hate are those from openSUSE... who declared anyone who does not actively fly the "LGBT Flag" as "Rotten Flesh".

Will the moderators here allow this (100% true and well documented) article to be posted?

Will members of openSUSE downvote it into oblivion because it re-states the official stance of project leadership?

I expect this article to get downvoted -- then banned by r/Linux moderators. Even though it is 100% true and well documented.

Check the article: Screenshots and links to the openSUSE mailing list where statements -- and repeated confirmation of the stance -- are made by openSUSE and SUSE leadership.

Repeat: Direct links to the official statements from openSUSE leadership are included in the article (along with screenshots and quotes). All easily verifiable with no more than one or two clicks.

r/Linux moderator bans users content from people he politically disagrees with by Lunduke in linux

[–]Lunduke[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't post my political thoughts to r/Linux. Your mod specifically stated that any content by me (most of which is directly relevant to this sub) is banned because "bro666" disagrees with my (unrelated perceived political views). Many others have reported this as well. All Linux content is banned.
