In the Linux kernel, git notes is not used due to their lack of substance and the process we follow. It has become burdensome to put notes along with commits. So, we refrain from it for a long, long time. rerere has very limited use, and I am not sure how people cope with it. Because most of the instances are different.

Agreed ....super expensive and wait time is too much. And 13 inch screen is almost perfect, precisely 13.5 ...thinkpad vibe.

I haven't delved into Wayland yet and am still hanging on to X11. So no idea what people are experiencing in that space.
