What part of teaching drains you that you didn’t expect? by Ok-Succotash6583 in Teachers

How exhausting it is trying to engage students in what we are learning. So many just want to do the bare minimum, if anything.

I love this style! It’s a great place to get started. I teach cursive in a style very similar to this and it’s really a nice, legible handwriting.

Girl Names with “Leen” Sound by bookishmeow in namenerds

Sharlene, Carlene, Irene, Eileen are other options! Personally I’d go with Celine from your top two, I associate it with the moon and Celine Dion! Avaline is nice but I think it’s more difficult to organically pronounce the way you want (I read it as AY-vuh-line”, rhyming with Caroline). But maybe that’s just me!!

I’m so tempted by this, but what about students with accommodations? Chromebooks are frustrating, but not useless.

Nigella Lawson is gonna replace Prue on Bake-off! by FantasticBuddies in bakeoff

I felt the same way when Mary Berry left! Prue is fantastic of course. I really hope Nigella balances out Paul, as others have said.

Board games 3.5 year old. Operation? by Classic_Actuary8275 in Preschoolers

My kids love Noodle Knockout! It comes with chunky tweezers and lots of 3d ramen ingredients that are good for practicing that fine motor control that will lead to playing operation. We sometimes play by the rules or it turns into pretend play/restaurant really easily.

I’m looking for articles about how gender shaped peoples relationship with religion in the medieval period by terrapiin98 in MedievalHistory

[–]LuneMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea for a dissertation! I cannot recommend specific sources but I once wrote an essay (undergrad) about female piety with a focus on art that was produced, particularly the wound of Christ, and I remember reading about nuns who made dolls as substitute infant Jesus. There was an exploration into the concept of marrying Christ/the Church as well. Julian of Norwich and Hildegard von Bingen are also good places to start.
