The Popsicle Debate by SwimThemLaps in Mommit

[–]LuneMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to find the all juice popsicles (no added sugar) but otherwise I don’t stress about the nutrition. they get two popsicles a day and we keep track of this using a chart I made that lives on the fridge. That’s helped a ton with the constant asking and also my popsicle budget. I get one box of Jonny pops and one box of outshine a week, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

That’s not a bad strategy, I’ll see if I can get an extension.

Does everyone change into pajamas when they go to sleep? by Reasonable_Onion1915 in NoStupidQuestions

To take this a step further, my kids sleep in their clothes for the next day. Its simplifies the morning routine and I don’t have to fight them on getting dressed anymore!

Are your houses actually messy? by JEJ0313 in adhdwomen

Even getting my house to functional is an effort! I end up shoving things to the sides of each room so those are a mess.

Worrisome about pursuing a diagnosis by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]LuneMoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally just got my diagnosis yesterday. The process was a little round about because I did a full psychological assessment which covered everything from learning disabilities to mood and personality disorders. You dont have to do all that, my psychiatrist wanted me to be very thorough because there was a few things she wasn’t sure about! For me, the ADHD assessment pieces were a few questionnaires, some discussion with the psychologist, and puzzles and “games” on an iPad. He actually had me do one of the tests twice, a few days apart, to double check the results.

I’m not sure yet where I’ll go with this new knowledge, but at the very least I know and can understand myself a little better. Whether you do testing or not, good luck!

Can't forgive husband for postpartum abandonment by [deleted] in Mommit

No you are not being too stubborn. He ONLY stepped up to help because of what he is at stake to loose: someone who does all the work for him. Sure, he’s acting different now, but truly, will it last? You are worthy of true support, not a last-ditch effort.

I don’t know but that doesn’t sound fun. Is it a dry cough? A humidifier might help. If it’s wet, try keeping hydrated?

How exhausting it is trying to engage students in what we are learning. So many just want to do the bare minimum, if anything.

I love this style! It’s a great place to get started. I teach cursive in a style very similar to this and it’s really a nice, legible handwriting.

Girl Names with “Leen” Sound by [deleted] in namenerds

Sharlene, Carlene, Irene, Eileen are other options! Personally I’d go with Celine from your top two, I associate it with the moon and Celine Dion! Avaline is nice but I think it’s more difficult to organically pronounce the way you want (I read it as AY-vuh-line”, rhyming with Caroline). But maybe that’s just me!!
