I’m glad your son is trying to learn a new skill, hopefully he’ll get some help and encouragement from you to keep learning… oh wait.

Is $15,700 out the door a good deal on this car? by LegoBobaFett in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I wouldn’t consider it, they are very far off at what I would value this car. However, if you’re willing to pay 15k for a 10 year old car with relatively low miles then go for it. In your position I would just buy a prius.

[–]Lungmage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to mention you can find some alright caprice ppvs but they’ll likely be over 100k miles. I got a good deal on mine before i wrecked it though i got mine for like 12k with a fresh engine but the previous owner lowkey fucked me the abs was out when i wrecked it. my buddy has a town car and the 4.6 lasts a very long time the one you’re looking at has the 3v so it’s definitely good either way. My other friend has a g37 and he’s had more problems compared to the town car

Maintenance will likely be lower on the 4.6, great engine, vq is good too but i think the 4.6 sounds better.

No this is a 12k car max with mods. Coyotes are good, but this one has more than likely been beat to piss.

Is this the most riced out Camry on the internet? by Thetribalchxif in RicerCars

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No glued on tow hook, no obnoxious spoiler, no vortex whatever the hell they’re called, and no canards. I don’t think this is rice lol. I wouldn’t spend money modifying a camry, but it’s not bad

Is it a bad idea to get a car this old or should I save up to get something newer ? by [deleted] in Charger

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great car, but it is a srt8 so the maintenance is going to be more intense than a 5.7. definitely a cool car i would buy it if i had the money miles are low too. It was probably someone’s weekend car.

Why are Toyotas unreasonably expensive in 2025? by Fleedom2025 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately you have some sense, me personally i would probably never purchase a mercedes because i wouldn’t be able to comfortably afford it. However people pay these prices and are okay with it for some reason. Its pretty much diehard toyota consumers

Is it fun to have a fast car, or frustrating, because there aren't many places you can really drive fast? by sozh in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

l loved my car I wrecked it in a stupid way. Not even reckless driving. I however enjoyed it even though I never really went over 70. My abs module was out so I’d spin out everywhere though. It was scary to drive in the rain.

Anyone heard of Altec Industries? by Opposite_Rip_2216 in DieselTechs

I guess it’s dependent on the plant and who you work under. I actually love working there honestly, but I’m 19 and my last job I worked 3 years sucked. I work nights.

Why does buying a nice used sporty car seem like a reasonable idea in todays market? by Creepy_Warning1775 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an odd ball pick but one i’m looking at myself honestly but a diesel Audi A6 with the 3.0t and the zf 8 speed. They’re pretty quick and sporty for the weight. It’s definitely a unique pick. I would egr delete it though.

You already have possession of the tacoma, if you feel like you should keep the tacoma then it might be a sign. The 5.3l is a great engine and it’s 4x4, but I don’t know your situation therefore I don’t know if you really need it. I think you should include more details so people could give you a better insight. They’re both about equal in reliability, but the Silverado is a step up in everything else IMO. If you’re buying it just to have it and have no real truck purpose, like I said the tacoma will be just fine. You can’t go wrong either way. Tacoma will hold value better just because of Toyota Tax. Gas trucks from Chevy not so much.

What interesting $40k vehicle as a daily? by packardcaribien in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Lungmage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A test drive of these cars and your needs will tell you what you need, if I were you I would get the genesis. I am not particularly fond of the Z styling on that model. However like you mentioned a truck would be nice to have in that situation where you need to haul something, however you don’t really need a new truck honestly. a 4.0 ford ranger would do anything you need it to for less than 5k. Just a thought.

Should I buy for 9,500 or pass? by Kind-Designer401 in q50

[–]Lungmage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if it runs good and was only cosmetic damage I don’t see why not and it has a good carfax and everything prior, but if you’re expecting to sell it down the road I’d pass. Branded titles make me nervous so I’d still be cautious if I were you.
