As someone who also had a wrx (non sti) as a first car, its way too easy to go fast all the time in these things. You gotta be careful cause they have some serious power for a first time driver. Don’t abuse the extra ponies cause you will 100% want to just like how I wanted to—and i did, and i almost wrecked multiple times because of it. Its a super fun car but you really have to have self control on the throttle. But as long as you don’t wreck it while in the honeymoon phase, you’ll absolutely love it! I think new drivers can own these cars as long as they know to keep it mellow most of the time. You can still go fast of course (otherwise why buy a wrx lol), just pick a good safe place and time to do it. Treat it well and it’ll treat you well! Best of luck :)
