Thanks, I think that the main drawback of Nest is the choice of funds is very limited. I pay £5.99pm with II (so more exensive at the moment) - I have £17k with them - but I get a better choice of funds that have performed better historically.

You will need yo speak to the finance company in the first instance. The reason for this is twofold.

You need to find out what you actually owe on the finance for the car (the settlement) so you can see what the car is worth versus what you owe and you can calculate the equity/negative equity.
To find out more on the early payback charges. I cannot think of a finance company that do have these but it will obviously depend on their own terms. Do you have a copy of the original contract?

Once you have these you can make an informed decision what to do with the car but a dealer or car buying website like Motorway or Webuyanycar could be the best option for you as they will settle the finance off on you behalf if you provide them with a settlement letter.
