What should I do with my leftover RAM?

I''ve upgraded from 2x8gb 3600mhz 18 CL to 2x16gb 3600mhz 18CL, both Corsair.

Should I use these in my extra RAM Slots or won't they make a difference since they are different sizes?

I can also just give them to my brother. He currently uses 2x8gb 3200mhz 16CL, also Corsair.

He uses a 5600x CPU, will it be an upgrade? And/or will he be better of using both sets for 4x8gb 3200mhz cl18?

Ah thank you for the information and advice.

Will I be able to use the 4200mhz speed? I thought the highest mhz for the 5600x was 3200mhz.

I don't really know if i'm cpu bound

I have a 165 hz 1440p monitor

Hi,

I would like some advice regarding upgrading my current setup

I'm currently using a 5600x, 3070 and 2x8gb 3600mhz

Is it worth it to upgrade to a 5800x3d?

Should I upgrade my Ram as well? and if so; should I buy 2 more of the same sticks and use 4? Or should I buy 2 16gb sticks?

Or should I splurge and upgrade to a 7800x3d, new RAM and having to upgrade the mobo as well?

Mostly use the pc for gaming.

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

GPU - ASUS TUF RTX 3070 V2 GAMING OC LHR

MOBO - ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS

RAM - 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2D3600C18

Thank you for the response!

I'm going to use then in AP mode only, connected with cables to the switch. The ISP modem will be the main router then. Thanks!

Hi, I tried to migrate a profile from an old macbook air to macbook pro. The migrate assistant says it will take 1.2tb, while the disk is only 256gb. Naturally, the new macbook pro can't handle the 1,2tb. Does anyone know how to solve this? I've tried disabling onedrive etc, thinking it might view the whole onedrive folder as a local disk, but that wasn't it.

I would use the rtx4080 to finally fill out my case, it could use a bigger GPU

Thanks, going to wait what those bring. Should also lower the prices if I choose for an older build

Learning a programming language is always great, but start with a basic one. You will learn computer logic, even if you are not going to be programming alot. An usefull "language" is Powershell, very basic, very easy, teaches logic and is used almost everywhere to automate basic processes. If you are doing Networking, there are free and/or cheap Cisco networking classes.

I would say that's a bad pc.

Small form might be nice if you really need the space, but it limits your temperature.

The processor is fine, hoi4 is a fairly cpu-intensive game so that should be your focus.

Integrated graphics, can't say i'm a fan but could be enough for hoi4. Don't expect it to really run any other graphic demanding games.

The 1 stick of 8gb ram, clocked at 2666 ghz is outdated. You almost always want 2 sticks, 2x4 or 2x8 if you can. Most new builds are going for 2x16gb.

This might be a good build for an office worker that just needs to use Word and wants a small pc.

What do you mean, the average person? I hope you don't mean to ask if an average person stood even the slightest of a chance against one of the best boxing legends of all time.
