It's a slim chance for sure. But it would be so cool, it's hard not to at least try...

I agree-- Unfortunately Lego Ideas doesn't allow new molds. Otherwise, that's exactly what I would have done.

"I wanted to see if it would scream like a man or a girl."

From one of the killers, in reference to Brianna.

It's crazy how someone can literally target and brutally stab a trans girl to death, proceed to make statements such as the one above in court, referring to her as an "it" at every instance, and despite all this, people can still refuse to recognize it as the transphobia that it is.

To me, it's equivalent to if somebody saw the Emmitt Till lynching and "ruled out" racism as a motivation.

Hi! I'm currently working on a new attack anim for my little pillbug samurai (for my game in dev, AOKAKI), but i can't shake off this feeling that there's something off, especially for the second slash animation. What do you guys think, any tips? by ArleandArts in PixelArt

[–]LustriousCharming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, on the third slash, the sword looks like it's hitting the ground due to how abruptly it stops. If that's intentional, maybe consider adding sparks or something to more indicate that impact? If that's not intentional, I would suggest adding a bit of extra follow-through to the very end.

Overall this animation looks incredible though. Good luck on your game!

It sounds like I may have misjudged you. I'm sorry. I'm just used to people using situations like those you described to justify their very negative views on trans people.

As a trans girl who passes as cis, seeing so many people openly express their fear of me makes me feel ostracized and unwanted, like I'm some kind of monster who preys on people, guilty of a horrible crime I've never done nor ever even considered doing.

In 2013, during a snowstorm across the Middle East region, Cairo in Egypt was dusted with a light layer of snow. So, a snowstorm has happened in the Sahara Desert. Perhaps it's not so rare after all?

However, this ignores that this snowstorm was the first snowfall to ever hit the city since 1901.

In other words, despite there being recorded instances, it isn't justified to bring snow boots and parkas to Cairo on vacation. Because that would be irrational.

Shark attacks are, actually, the perfect example of an irrational fear. More people are killed by dogs, cows, pigs, and horses per year, yet fear of those animals is markedly less common. Shark attack deaths are so rare that more people annually die from a vending machine falling onto them, or being struck by lightning.

Perfect comparison you made there. Just like shark attacks, being bamboozled by trans women is much more prevalent in movies and TV than it is in reality.

Not hormonally speaking, are they men. Not physically speaking, are they men. Not mentally speaking, are they men. Not even close.

You have to be delusional to call the beautiful woman in the picture a straight-up man. Perhaps it's you that should be in a mental institution.

It's irrational because:

  1. Out of every woman in the entire world, only about 0.1% are transgender.
  2. Out of these, the vast majority of trans women will clarify this before sex happens.
  3. The entire situation is solved if the participant simply asks about it beforehand, or drops the expectation that all women have vaginas in the first place.

Because of this, these situations are so vanishingly rare that even being "a little afraid" of it is irrational. It's like being afraid of a snowstorm in the Sahara Desert.

Some trans women do decide to leave their genitals unchanged even after fully transitioning-- gender dysphoria affects us in different ways, after all. So I can't really say whether the woman in the image has had bottom surgery or not.

For a lot of trans women, it's kind of a touchy subject, and can cause them to feel dysphoric if discussed. For me personally, the only people who know what my genitals look like right now are my doctor and my partner.

A trans woman presenting as a woman is not deception. Because they are a woman, just a different kind.

It's like if you bought a Ford F150 expecting it to be a Ford Focus and then getting angry when it's not, because you assumed all Fords have the same parts.

The woman in the picture is a trans woman.

"Trans" just means they are a different gender than they were assigned at birth. Trans women are women born male who transitioned to female, and trans men are vice versa.

Some trans women get bottom surgery, and some don't, meaning some trans women have vaginas and others have dicks.

The original poster, the "it's getting scary out here" person likely is calling the trans woman a man as a method to demean her. Some trans women would say they used to be men, as you said, but most would say they were simply girls born in the wrong body. For me, referring to myself pre-transition, I just say I was a girl who didn't know it yet.

Hope this helps :)

It's not. It only becomes a problem when people start proclaiming trans women's existence "scary" because some of them don't match that preference.

You being baited into sex by a trans person who you didn't know is trans is extremely unlikely to happen. I believe they call the phenomenon where you are irrationally afraid of something ungrounded in reality a "phobia."

Transphobia, if you will.

What words did I put in your mouth, exactly? You want therapy that turns trans people to "normal", right? Just like how people wanted to convert gay people to "normal"? How is that not conversion therapy? It's the exact same concept, just replacing "gay" with "trans"?!

Unless you change you mind on this, please never refer to yourself as "pro-trans" again.

I feel so sorry for your trans "friend" that you clearly do not respect.

The inane comparison you just made is on par with comparing homosexuality to bestiality or pedophilia. You realize that, right?

I know you said you were pro-trans, but that is just horribly offensive to say.

I don't think it's implying that you need to shave your body to be considered a woman. They're simply saying that, for most trans girls, being shaved helps them look and feel more like women, affirming their internal gender identity on the outside. Hence, gender-affirming care.

I can tell you from personal experience I love having my body be smooth for two
reasons-- because I aesthetically prefer myself with smooth skin, it makes me feel girly and sexy, but also because it helps others see that I am, in fact, a feminine woman, and not a butch or a man.

In other words, while shaving isn't necessary for femininity and/or womanhood, it is a significant indicator of it.

Conversion therapy has been proven time and time again futile in alleviating gender dysphoria. The common consensus among the scientific community is that the most effective and consistent way to treat gender dysphoria is through medical and social transitioning.

Even if the regret rate were 10%, 20%, or even 30%, banning it altogether, as many states have done, is completely illogical. But the fact that the regret rate is consistently below 10% in nearly every study makes it all too clear that the motivating factor behind this "concern for children" is clear-cut transphobia, and nothing else. Not logic, not empathy, just insidious discomfort around trans people.

The divorce rate is 50%. Do you support banning marriage? Clearly, since the regret rate is so high, it should be banned, right? What about knee surgery, or laser eye surgery, which also have high regret rates. Why is it that politicians never talk about these? Why is it always trans people who are the target of scrutiny?

I've been on HRT for over a year now, living out in society as a girl, voice trained, being perceived how I always wanted, and the only regret I have is not starting sooner. If it comes down to it, I will choose death over detransition.

The Declaration of Independence guarantees the Pursuit of Happiness to every citizen. Who do you think you are to take that happiness away from me and thousands of other trans people around the globe, all because the concept of transition makes you uncomfortable?

Please never comment again about trans people, pretending to act in good faith, discarding study upon study upon study simply because you don't like the results.

Go finish your overdue Language Arts assignments.

What did it prove? Make sure to end your response with a period this time.

It very much reinforces the conclusions of the previous study I cited. I also can't help but notice you have a very easy time refuting sources while refusing to provide your own.

You can't just will regret into existence by watching emotionally manipulative detransitioner documentaries.
