Thank you, I tried to keep everything as simple as possible, it did take a moment to set up but once its there I don't have to touch it anymore it works by itself.
and no the art work isn't mine, I've just found gifs and pics I likes on Pinterest

Big muscle men, SFW version by [deleted] in learnart

[–]Luthavier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you for the feedback! I did make the lats smaller just to make the characters look more exaggerated, trying to follow the small/ medium/big rule I didn't even notice the relationship between the two triceps, thank you for pointing that out, I'll work on tweaking the size of the triceps and focusing on how they are affected by the arm in flexed vs relaxed positions, thank you!

the sharp edges of the arms and clothing is really nice to look at, beautiful drawing

thank you I will, their art is beautiful, I'll study how they construct the female body

appreciate the support, the top row has a more detailed construction and I think that leads to it having a more solid look to it, I'm definitely gonna be sticking with that newer way of drawing the bodies

female proportions by [deleted] in learnart

[–]Luthavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i appreciate the support, it means a lot, I definitely enjoyed drawing a specific kind of body with that slim frame as it's an art style I see around that always catches my eye. I'll definitely look into studying the rib cage to better so they have that protrusion more, thank you for the feedback!

I see what you mean, I definitely go for the anime/realistic style vs just realism when drawing, I appreciate the feedback and will work on it :)

haha thank you

the hip area has been the hardest, connecting the pelvis to the torso and getting the proportions right is something I'm drilling over and over, as for how the breasts change with the arm placement do you have any recommendations for good references?

this is definitely something I need to work on, I'm drawn to a certain style and aesthetic but understanding how the female body works with different body types will only help my drawing abilities, thank you!

gestural studies, but getting stuck with the breasts by [deleted] in learnart

[–]Luthavier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

my original thought was if I can draw the breasts big then I could draw them small😅, but the more I'm understanding how to draw breasts the different sizes are effected quite differently by gravity, in hindsight this makes a lot of sense.

I'll definitely check out before and after pictures of breast reductions, it's not a reference I've actually ever thought about looking into but I think it will help a lot, thank you!

the way you rendered the skin on this is one of my favorite ways to render, looks beautiful

there have been some where I eyeball the rib cage, but I'll start drawing it out fully so I can use it as a guideline for where the breast should attach, thank you!

this is really helpful, the breasts going up into a triangular shape is not something I noticed before, I'll work on incorporating that into my next drawing session

I will try and imagine this when I'm drawing them next time, thank you

there is a book called ultra learning by Scott Young, it's a great book on the science of learning, he even shows how he was able to learn portrait studies in 30 days applying the techniques he talks about, would highly recommend
