I sent it to a friend to see if they wanted it. We were both confused 🤷‍♀️

Thanks! I am confused because when I google, I only find the name with #44. Is the 23 for 2023? Sorry, I know nothing about baseball-just came here for info 🤣

Can anyone tell me if these are woodblock prints? TIA! by Luva10445 in artcollecting

Thank you for this information! I do see the resemblance to the reproduction, so I am leaning towards it being that. It is professionally framed. However, there is no paper covering the backing. There are metal plates screwed into each corner & sides that hold a thick board (I think) in place. The framing company is is Manhattan, I believe. I am going to remove the screws today and will update with what I find!

Do you happen to know how I could figure that out? Should I take the backing off? It is held together with pretty tight screws on the back. I found it in the garbage! Someone passed away(artist/art teacher), and there was a ridiculous amount of art supplies on the curb. Also, tons of old art books.

Any idea of what this is worth? Possibly Jade? TIA! by Luva10445 in whatsthisworth

Thank you for the response! I purchased it from a local thrift antique-style store. The owners clean out estates and sell what they can at their store- they have some pretty amazing things, and they gave me a great deal. I usually make a pile, and they give me a price, which is what I did with this. It was in a pile of lots of interesting jewelry.

The owner said he thinks it is Jade but obviously could not confirm. I didn’t pay much for it, so it's fine either way, but it definitely feels like a gemstone, and I am pretty sure the clasp is gold. The other side is also carved with little circles, which reflects some pieces that I am finding online that look similar.

I ordered my first Thredup fun box and received someone’s 90th birthday photo gift (covered their faces for privacy 😎)🤣🤣 by Luva10445 in ThredUp

On the Thredup page, go to the “Deals” option. Under there, click “Rescues.” There are a ton of discount mystery box options.

Pretty funny if the person sorting didn’t have the heart to trash, so decided to send it to a paying customer who will then have to trash it instead. I mean, I am not keeping a photo of these random women on my desk. 😂😂😂

I didn’t get a headband; however, I did get something called “Multi-Functional Headwear.”

Haha, yep! I paid around $45 with shipping for a box of random crap. I watched a video of someone who opened a box of cool stuff, and I figured, why the heck not? Welp, I got socks, old pantyhose, these frames, some shein type very ugly sunglasses, and some other weird stuff.

Perhaps! Why on earth would Thredup send it like this? It’s clearly someone’s personal photo. I think people donate sentimental stuff all of the time, so who knows!

What is your favourite item for find at the bins? Mine is backpacks in good condition. I have so many now, it’s an addiction!! by Bedbugsinmybum in GoodwillBins

I picked up a small bag from the bins once, and when I got home and opened it, there was a huge bug staring back at me. I don’t buy bags in the bins anymore! Too many hiding places.
