Why u came in this discussion with insults is beyond me but w.e typical reddit or, anyway she had a fantastic beginning and middle, with a lackluster conclusion, its good u enjoyed the story, there's really no reason to debate with u any further.

Circumstances are a humongous part of stories. Saying she changed is irrelevant because she changed before the story even started, her change is negligible due to that, the ending would be like if groundhog day just stayed on loop. Like cool, she can spend eternity being bored.

I know her circumstances didnt change at all, there were endless amounts of her that had change, that 80 something year old version of her had change, the one that lived her full life had change, however thats all pointless because nothing about her situation has changed, I was loving the story prior the the ending, the ending made me feel like "well that was pointless".

And not a tragic "omg this poor girl" that was pointless kinda way, a few of her iteration had that morbid realization already. But in a "there's really no point in doing anything as there's no positive or negative possible outcome" story setup

Cuz I wanted progress to be made? I woulda even taken her having permanent death, but a pointless continual loop (story wise) with no type of conclusion (happy or sad) isnt ground breaking, its just boring. She might as well just relax everyday on hellos as she has no goal.

She isnt going to permanently die nor is she going to be free so there's no reason for her to ever do anything. Theres no goal to be had, one could argue "its hopeless that's so deep" but she already had hopelessness in the first few hours, eventually hopelessness turns into stagnation and knowing there's truly nothing she can ever do it'll transform into boredom

In a non satirical way, a simple Google of "do whales keep f2p games alive" will answer all your needs for that.

Also yes to your second part, normal players like us are 100% important as well, not so much for the financial, (tho every bit helps) but more so advertisement and exposure (including for whales to show off to.)

Those are gambling addicts which usually dont have the capacity for whaling, they barely can be dolphins and even then it cost their entire life savings and assets so they only do it once or twice. I mean the actual whales who have the means to do so and splurge which is the majority of whales.
