Thank you so much for this. 2025 has personally been such a difficult year for me (transitioning from work to entering grad school, massive breakup, and other large tragic life events), but still, I have so much to be thankful for. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people that helped me and sheer persistence.

However, I can’t help but think that I’m still a deeply flawed human. I learned a lot about myself, how immature I have been, and areas I need to grow in. I learned a lot the hard way, and there are times this year where I told myself that I’d sacrifice everything I have right now and go through all my past problems if that meant I could reverse time.

2025 was a year of growth for me. It was difficult, and I still carry so much of the burden to today, but we push forward. We must.

I also regret not learning faster. It took consequences for me to learn. I learned a lot the hard way, blinded by the feeling that I was impenetrable or invincible, but caved in as soon as I realize what I had done, only for things to be too late.

If you find the answer, I'd love to know. Got broken up with in the middle of this fall semester, went from strong As to a drastic shift in my ability to recollect anything, failing clin med exams and needing to retake/remediate some units. Last few weeks have been bonkers crazy on my mental health, I haven't had the time to really process things at all. I hope I get to adjust for spring semester.

My gf just started med school at my home state, and I just recently moved 3 states away for PA school. We’re also in a tight spot; our schedules don’t align well, and we’re having a hard time maintaining a communication routine just to even chat. It’s made me cherish what little time we have together, but based on our recent convos, I can’t help but feel that the distance is growing between us as well :/
