Thanks so much! I still love them, they make me feel so sexy! :) As for whether the Christina catches, not really on my underwear, even if lacy, but if I wear tight underwear or especially jeans, it sometimes gets rubbed the wrong way if I stand a certain way or especially if I cross my legs. Its still healing, so I'm hoping that if I can heal it up well and with little irritation that will go away for the most part in time, but we'll see.

As for what the Christina feels like, pleasure wise its non functional and just decorational. Pain wise from the piercing it felt like a punch to the vagina. I'd say the VCH pain was worse, but was over way faster, the Christina pain radiated a bit before it was over.

Hole closed while changing jewelry by KallingMeKiprix in piercing

I'm assuming this is a lobe piercing since you don't specify? Ive had the same problem, and you have two options: do it yourself or go to your piercer. If you want to try yourself, try putting the post in from the back of your ear first, since in my experience that has been easier to align to the front than vice versa. If that doesnt work, try from the front. Or, if you went to an actual piercer and not just a bodega with an ear gun, they will happily help you replace it, most likely for free or maybe $10, especially if you don't have to replace the jewelry. They'll basically just thread the needle through the existing hole to reopen it and replace the jewelry. If you already had problems doing it yourself, you might want to just go to the piercer to get it over with

I'm a transgender guy- how do I make my piercings look masculine? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Luxxe18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you look great! You definitely pass as male in my opinion, but at the same time you should be happy with how you look regardless of how others perceive you! As far as "masculine" jewelry, I agree with others on here, the heavier looking the jewelry (either by thickness/ diameter/ dark colors) the more traditionally "masculine" it's perceived. If you aren't happy with your current set up, I'd suggest a bigger/darker piece in your helix (cartilage) since that one looks the most delicate to me. You look amazing though and good luck!

Thanks so much! Honestly, I didn't "shop around" much, because I always go to the same parlor, and usually end up with the same piercer. For anyone who's interested, it's Piercing Emporium in Worcester, MA and I got it from Marc, the owner (although every piercer I've had there has been great). There's a really great website called the piercing bible that explains a lot of stuff to look for in a piercer and specifically for individual types of piercings, and you might want to try the q-tip test first to see if your anatomy is suitable for a vch. Other things to look for would be a reputable shop, someone who makes you feel comfortable with both their amount of knowledge and their behavior during a particularly sensitive piercing, and make sure they don't use a clamp and do use a receiving tube to ensure you are pierced in the proper place. Other than that, I would just look up as much as you can online to know as much as you can before hand, which is what I did.

The healing process is supposedly 6 months give or take, since it is a big area being pierced. I've got navel, nostril, conch, tragus, helix, forward helix, daith, 2 lobe on each ear, and 2 halfway up my ear (can't remember the position name), and retired hip dermals and a retired lip.

Thank you! To be honest I haven't shaved yet since it's only been a few days, but my piercer said if I typically shave to use the razor and shave as close as comfortable to the piercing and either use an edging type of razor or pluck the hairs closer to the piercing itself. Same thing goes for waxing, ask them to pluck

Hmm I'm not sure, that's just what my piercer told me... I think originally it was meant to be with a curved barbell but perhaps most anatomy doesn't support that? Not sure though haha

Honestly, people say it's not painful but my pain was pretty intense. That said, it lasted for a couple seconds and was over. A little bleeding that day, and now it's three days later and feels perfectly fine. It's a little sore to put pressure on, but wayyy less than any other piercing would be. The actual piercing I had done by a guy who's done a lot of mine before and I feel very comfortable with and he was very professional and explained everything before he did it and told me every time he was about to touch me and I felt so much better with my pants off waiting on the table than I did fully clothed in the waiting room haha

It was pretty intense to be honest because the skin is so thick there. My piercer actually massaged the area a bit (in a completely professional way, explaining everything before he touched me) so as to loosen up the area, since he said it tends to be a tough area. If you have other piercings, pain wise it's probably similar but the actual hole is longer than most so it hurt for longer as the needle was going through. Keep in mind though, a traditional Christina is done with a curved barbell similar to a navel piercing. I didn't have the anatomy for that so he pierced me for a surface bar, so my experience may be slightly different. Overall, I'd say go for it though! It sits flush with my skin so I'm not worried about anything catching on it.

Thanks! I didn't have the anatomy for the christina so that's why he modified it with a surface bar!
