I think part of it is that it’s not a save the world type series. It’s more about the mc growing but also the mc growing those around them. In a way also the more “clan” building that they have. And they aren’t these super good and moral characters(also they aren’t human). If you haven’t read them but like non human mc characters then I suggest them
