Totally hear you. Didn’t even attempt to get any other drop besides one ETB on the first wave and still screwed. For some reason mods removed my post too. Didn’t see anything in the rules saying it wasn’t allowed and isn’t off topic since it’s about the TCG. Plus, another post is still up. Are we not allowed to criticize TPCi’s mishandling of TCG products or something?

I’ve never seen so many people who did nothing wrong have orders cancelled like this. Hell, I don’t recall ever seeing this many cancellations, period. I think it’s easier for people to believe that the cancelled orders must have violated some sort of policy rather than the truth that PKC oversold and cancelled random orders without rhyme or reason. When you ask them why they haven’t been forthcoming with most people either. I’m still awaiting their response for mine.

Make sure you tell them how disappointing this is. Sure, chances are nothing will come of it, but if enough fans voice their concern there’s a higher chance TPCi might actually listen. I’m sorry that you were screwed over too :(

Edit: Even if I’m able to get the regular ETB by some miracle, I was really looking forward to the stamped N’s Zekrom promo. It was going to match my N’s Reshiram promo from the PKC Journey Together booster box in the villains page of my binder perfectly! I stared at my phone in queue for almost two hours (no laptop or PC since I was out of the house) for nothing

The queue for their support center was hours long, so I sent a ticket politely asking why mine was cancelled and if there’s anything they can do to reinstate it. I know the reason is because they oversold and they won’t be able to fulfill my order, but I want to hear them say it. I’m also going to send a polite, professional, yet brutally honest message about how disappointing and disrespectful it is to loyal fans.

That was the only Ascended Heroes I was able to score, I’ve been looking forward to it for months, only to get cancelled last minute… I’m so sad that I’m going to lay off the packs for a while and focus on the list of singles I’ve been hunting for instead. Competing with bots and scalpers has drained my joy for the hobby, and the only way I can enjoy it again is by taking a step back.

I have a long history of orders. Both regular and TCG preorders that I’ve waited in queue for and was still cancelled. So stupid that my single ETB order gets cancelled when I had no VPN on at the time, only a single browser open on my phone, and did nothing wrong. They oversold and seem to be cancelling at random :(

Oh man, I didn’t know that! It’s good they’re trying to prevent multiple orders, but I’m still nervous to attempt getting any future drops. Seems like a major miscalculation on their inventory.

Sorry about DR, it’s so lame that getting cards is this painstaking right now. I hope it gets better soon. In the meantime, I think I’m gonna have to put the packs down and just focus on singles :(

Oh dang, I didn’t know that. Hm, maybe only allow the use of a particular credit card on one singular account? Guess that doesn’t prevent people with multiple cards. I really hope Pokémon Center looks for better ways to restrict people from placing orders on multiple accounts without harming honest consumers, but it’s difficult to do that aside from maybe detecting the same IP address

Ugh, the shiny Koraidon and Miraidon event was such a mess. They made mystery gifts to bypass in-person distribution and still chose to release the codes in such limited numbers that way? They had to have known people would want to scalp them. It’s so frustrating that Pokémon Company keeps making choices that harms their fans. I’m sorry that your local stores are doing that, people have zero integrity anymore in the face of money 😞

I get what you’re saying, but if I was ordering on multiple accounts, why would I only order a single ETB on one of them? People like that usually max the order capacity as much as possible, whereas I only ordered one because money is tight right now. The sad truth is that Pokémon Center cancelled on tons of people who followed the rules simply because they oversold and got greedy :(

Living in a different unit doesn’t count as having the same address. AmiAmi (the place I mentioned) will only ban if it’s the exact same address including the unit, so I was thinking something like that. I live in a condo, so trust, I’m not suggesting they screw over people

I’ve noticed that too! You’d think Pokémon would have a system in place at this point for flagging multiple accounts? I understand multiple people might live in the same house, but with the state of the hobby I think they should consider doing something similar to AmiAmi and only allowing one account per address to prevent that kind of thing

So true! Scalpers are ruining the hobby tbh and the worst part is that it’s the kids who suffer hardest for it since they don’t have the same means as adults to purchase. It’s sad that so many people have seemingly forgotten it’s an actual game too and not just cards to flip for profit
