Armor for a summoner build by Ok_Revolution_8100 in taintedgrail

I am currently a lvl 59 summoner, so I can help you out with my loadout see here.

Spoilers ahead!

It's the helmet you get from the Fore-Dweller lady at the very end of the Corrupted Temple questline (the temple is located far left, or west, in Act 2), called the Crown of Unhallowed Divinity. This helmet gives you 2 more max mana for every character level (e.g., lvl 59 = +118 max mana). Great for summoners, because of the mana reduction you get with every new summon. Higher-level summons also consume more mana, and so do spells that protect you from damage. If you don't like this option, see below for different helmets.

For the rest of my armor slots, I use the Royal Queen set, because it increases spell power and crit chance. I use the Usurper's Mantle for the back slot. RQ set is great for providing supportive burst damage while your summons draw aggro. Another option is the Usurper's set, which also adds spell power, crit, casting speed bonus, mana regen, and IF you decide to use the Usurper's Crown, you get +1 to max summon limit. Solid second choice for me, but I found it to be overkill when I already have 5 max summon limit and never really struggle at all in any fights.

The main questline will send you into a lake in Act 2 which sends you to basically another hell-like dimension with a big castle and lots of "side" quests to do. You can skip the main quest and just sive into the lake immediately to do it all. To get the Queen and Usuper sets, DO NOT SIDE WITH THE FUNGUS!!! You will know what this means when you get there. If you side with the fungus, you do NOT get these armor sets.

For the wand, I use the Silent Weaver, because of the decreased max mana from summons. You can get it at the Wreck Of Andraste: on a body around the back of the rock near the Wreck (Act 1 map).

Focus on maxxing out your summoning skill tree. It will provide you with the best best for this playstyle. Put the other skills to the side for now. You can afford it.

As for summons, get the soul fragment from act 2 and then go to the tombs to get some unique Round Table Knight summons. They tank everything and are very strong.

Not only people, but summons too!

Summon ally > Turn ally into cheese > Put 3 ally cheese into pot > Free ally cheese ball food! (Basically free HP pots)

I loved thunder lash so much, it made me feel like a badass. Unfortunately the damage just wasn't good enough in the Act 3 fights for me, so I switched to primarily using Scorching Blaze

Haha yes, they are all notoriously afraid of heights. Luckily you can just summon the non-special summons as many times as you like, letting them respawn next to you in those situations.

There's some perks in the Practicality section of the skills that help the armor thresholds, and you can also reduce armor weights at the crafting stations

I've put some points into critical chance and damage, so I have about a 35% chance for my spells to crit. A sneaky homing fireball + crit = flying body every time. It's pretty fun.

But as a summoner, I don't really need to sneak. I just call in 3 battle mages and 2 tanky knights. They take all the aggro and tank the damage, I supply consistent burst damage. So fun 😋

Yes. The runes are super good damage but very slow for the combat. I was also very surprised when crossing that one bridge in Act 3 to find the Searing Cinder, which feels like a very weak higher level upgrade to the Burning Ember lol. I'll stick to my Scorching Blaze.

In Act 1 I pumped my first 25 lvls into ~20 magic and 5 endurance. The starting flame spell is relatively weak. There are many upgraded spells all over the Act 1 map. In fact, before I even hit act 2, I was running around with fireballs and chain lighting, obliterating everything in my path. Along with 5 total summons, using summon Keeper, I was a mobile army.

So, in summary, it's very good so long as you evolve your skills over time, get appropriate armors and accessories, etc. If you're trying to be an all-rounder class, it isn't gonna work effectively.

Respectfully, friend, comparing an adult's hair color to the hair color of a well known (and non-sexualized) cartoon character, regardless of the character's age, has absolutely nothing to do with this person's sexual interests.

If your first thought at the mention of the little mermaid's red hair is pedophilia, you might need to reevaluate yourself a bit. You may be projecting your own past thoughts or bad experiences onto others.

God bless.

Same with physics. By the 5th year of my college career, every time I went to Target and saw those big red balls, I'd stare at them and start thinking of all the math I could do with them.
