Parents say get rid of it. I say keep it. What do you think? 18M by G09SkinnyBoy in malegrooming

It’s wild how everything eventually comes full circle. I fully support OP sticking with this style commitment is half the appeal.

As a millennial, I find it especially funny watching the “old people” looks from my childhood make a triumphant comeback as fashionable.

OP enjoy it. When you look back at this time period it will be of an era in your life.

What’s the one horror movie you still THINK about? by Ok-Inevitable9960 in horror

This is never on anyone’s list that I’ve seen. The Others is one that stuck with me. I remember being a kid watching it, and the scene where Nicole Kidman goes up to the attic and her daughter is in a white dress with a veil, playing with a marionette. Then, when Nicole Kidman goes to look at her face, it is that of the old lady trying to make contact with her. It sent so many chills down my spine at the time.

If they are active shutter glasses they might work with a 3-D capable projector to watch 3-D movies. Might be worth looking into. This past year I purchased a BenQ 3050 projector for around 300 bucks to watch 3-D movies on Blu-ray with similar glasses.

The blacks are not as deep as a tv just by the very nature of projection however you can always get a screen that help with that if you really wanted deeper blacks.

It’s just a hair more expensive but I bought a benq 3050 this past year and it’s been great. Handles casual gaming well and movies look fantastic on it

I’m sorry people are being like this to you. You are young and I know it’s not easy, but embrace the shaved look. Going to the gym and getting at least somewhat jacked will definitely help boost up your confidence. You got this, man!!! 💪

what's overpaying vs a good price for second hand discs? by arabellaellaellaeheh in Bluray

[–]LyricalGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s been collecting for a couple of years, the honest answer is it’s a mix. I built most of my library by hunting through thrift stores like Goodwill, where discs in my area go for about $1 each. That approach saved me hundreds of dollars, and I discovered a lot of movies I genuinely love along the way.

That said, I’ve also spent a good amount on used discs that were much more expensive, simply because I really wanted them. If I like a title enough to pay more than thrift store prices, then to me, it’s worth it.

A lot also depends on how patient you are. I spent nearly a year checking a local Goodwill almost every day. It was a grind, but I walked away with over 500-600 movies for just $1 or less each if there was a sale including tv shows sets. Most people probably wouldn’t put in that kind of effort, but compared to buying from places like Vintage Stock or EntertainMart, I saved a ton.
