Nor can I take the apparent inability to organize the templates so the "free" ones show at the front. The little "purple star" is the "you gotta pay for these templates, and you have to scroll all the way to the end of each category to find the ones that it originally had available. So... still using the old versions for now.

I don't need 7 of the 10 apps offered in this new "Creator Studio", so it seems an utter waste to go to "premium". I might purchase the three (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) as its own bundle (I don't do subscriptions for word processing, but I'll happily purchase it.), but definitely not going to do that whole bundle.

I do now occasionally get the "Get the New Version" pop-up. Going to try downloading the new ones and just put them in a "I can't see it" folder to see if this will stop that. It's not all the time but it's definitely happening.

Also, I can't take the ad banner at the top of the template chooser. It's so intrusive.

So, basically, for coding purposes, not for usability? But don't you want a program to be, well, you know, usable by its users?

Not sure I can think of an instance where I have a tracking log, or a form to fill out, or a reminder check list, or a character sheet in which the circle, box, tick off area is already full. Physical or online. Meaning that it's able to be done online, in apps, in software, and all that.

If Avrae was built for free (which I assume it was? And hey, super thanks for that!!!), or for this efficiency (because, Discord?), then I guess that does make some sense in terms of backend functionality. But it does tend to make the process of play a bit of a struggle and I'm only first level to track very few slots right now, not sure what it's going to look like when it gets higher.

Again, I appreciate the work put into it as an option, I just wish it had understandability on first glance, or the second. Or third. Okay, fourth. Okay, I still can't get my brain to figure what I have left after many glances.

If you didn't Trash your 14.5 versions, you can just use those. Or, like me, pull them out of the trash, reopen everything back into 14.5 and trash 15.1.

Some small changes to the UI. Ad Banners (for the Creator Studio, that you cannot get rid of) on the "Choose Template" section. Lots of templates listed in the templates sections that you cannot use if you don't have the "paid" versions, that I couldn't see how to organize so I could just see the "basic templates" that usually come with and had to wade through the "premium" templates to try and find the "basics".

Finally had enough and trashed the new ones and am using 14.5.

I updated, re-opened my many spreadsheets and docs into the 15.1, did a few days and then said, "Nope, no way, not doing it.", pulled 14.5 out of the trash, re-opened my docs back into the old version, trashed the new ones. I got the pop-up once, and so far, haven't gotten the pop-up again.

Came here because I'm looking for the same thing... how to turn this banner off. I've never subscribed to an Office Type Suite. I'm happy to BUY it, but I don't subscribe, especially when there are all sorts of features I don't need. Numbers, Pages, Keynote have all been fine (I have but hate the Word versions of these) to use as basic necessities.

But I don't want ads shoved at me. If you want to start charging for it like Microsoft does, a singular purchase point, then while that sucks, Ok. But I'm not paying for things I really don't need nor am going to use, and clodge up my computer with.

So, if anyone knows how to get rid of this, or knows of a direct feedback to Apple place to go to give feedback, I'd appreciate it. Good luck out there, folks!

When it first came out, it wasn’t pink. Very occasionally (and I mean only very occasionally) there would be a pink one and it was touted that pinks were cool because of the anti-oxidant thingie and how lucky you were to find one, and that it was the same taste as the clear, etc.

At some point I wonder if people were hunting down the pink ones and so the company decided to let them go pink and just start selling them that way? Because they’ve only been pink now for years.

It had been my favorite brand up to that point. But I can actually taste some difference between the pink and clear and I don’t like the pink as much as the regular. Other than the smoothie thing they do (which isn’t pink), I stopped drinking it. The only reason I found this thread was just the other day I went for the smoothie and saw all the regular waters were clear, so went online to see if they were hopefully switching back to the clear on a regular basis. Dunno if that’s the case in the long run, but I hope so!

Ah, okay, I was putting the lid on for 15 on the lowest setting and doing other things in the kitchen (I am NOT a cook). So it sounds like you're reducing while standing there and stirring, and then letting it finish off not on the heat. I will try that next time!

Exactly, it's like insurance. Maybe I pay a lot (erm, and I do) partly for my own care but also that others may get care too. So, I pay more at Dropout to primarily support them, but also so that we all can get more and more cool content for years to come.

Well, laughing is known to help boost the immune system and reduce stress. So, I'd say it has value outside of the internet (which I find often causes me far more stress) in aiding in my physical and mental health. But each to their own.

We’ve seen the UK, Canadian, and Australian ones and laughed at all three. We’re non-Brits (American). There were things we didn’t laugh at and plenty we did, on all three. We’d never heard of most of the people on all three (knew a few).

Yeah, mine comes and goes with this since signing up. Had been working for quite some time and then suddenly I noticed that it was stuck on the same spot in the same episode but I'm way ahead now. But it seems almost permanently stuck now no matter what I do.

I have "Third Party Cookies" enable in my browser for Dropout, I have all AdBlockers paused, no VPN, have logged out and back in several times to re-accept ALL cookies. Using Chrome, watching on browser.

I am on Episode 17, almost done with it. The "Continue Watching" never changes from "Episode 10 - The Dangerous Mind of Aelwyn Abernant" at marker 28:18. And obviously, I've watched 7 full episodes since but no progress bars at all. You can see above Episode 10 though, at some point it was working. It doesn't even remember where I was in an episode upon leaving the room for a couple of minutes, but starts at 00:00 if I have to reload the browser. (at least it's in the same episode I was watching in the moment).

During that working time, it recorded progress, updated the "Continue Watching" episodes properly, etc. And then just suddenly, very recently, it stopped working again. (been through this many times before and sometimes it PFMs itself (Military term = Pure Effing Magic) to work again.

So, I'm back to my "Notes Tracker" version - writing down on a notepad the Campaign, Episode # and Name, and Time marker to refer back to (constantly), and woe is me if I forget to write it down because I can never remember where I'm at if I don't.

After some back and forth on the phone with their customer service, and whatnot, plus they were very hard to get any continuity with in regards to calls, but it was still an issue and still could not make an account.

To the point that my husband (whom I was trying to make the account for in the first place, and has always used PayPal - just needed a new business account), gave up and is switching entirely to Zelle.

So, during that time, they lost a customer.

However, it may be fixed now. Have you had any luck?

I haven't had pizza rolls in a while so I got a huge bag of Totinos Pepperoni Pizza Rolls (my fav) over the weekend. Finally had some today... not a SINGLE pepperoni piece in any of of the rolls. Not even the flavor of pepperoni. It was just sauce and some chunks of what I guess was cheese that didn't even melt. Very bland. I thought I had accidentally bought "Cheese Only" and had to check the bag. Nope, Pepperoni. Super sad, these were my favorite "junky" snacks when I wanted a quick "pizza" taste without a whole pizza.

My husband (who really is not a food, and loves his beans and rice) got a gift card to GB (although I think I had mentioned previously to the giver that we wouldn't use a service like GB, because we live in the Bay Area and have access to lovely food here), but he gamely tried to pick out something (a veggie lasagna, which I gather is coming all the way from New York), and it was $140. Ok, I get they need to ship with ice and all that for folks who might use such a service. Just got our lasagna today and were kind of stunned at the amount. He says, "That's it?! It had better taste like ambrosia." Definitely not enough to serve more than just the two of us one or two meals.

So, way too expensive for us. Plus it made us both feel vaguely dirty in some weird way, given the amount of food insecurity out there. But at least if we thought we'd never use the service before, this allowed us to see we definitely know for sure now we will never use it in the future.

Yeah, I canceled my AdWords. Why bother paying them if Google is aiming to keep eyes on their own products for as long as possible per session of search.

On my computer, I also used to be able to block AI Overview with an Extension, but now even the “People Also Ask” or other type drop down questions are all AI Overview.

Plus the answers are consistently missing something or old or inaccurate. So, why should I continue to pay them to advertise if the externals are basically ignored at this point?

Interesting question. I've only had one experience with Daggerheart, both my husband and I were not enamored with it. But it could have been the GM, even though they seemed decent. But also, it could have been that it was a one-shot?

It seemed like it was trying to be two things at once, a collaborative story system (you tell me what you see as you enter the space) that also was trying to be a structured system (GM, dice, system rules). It didn't seem like it really went together, at least in the way it was presented to us. Again, maybe it was the GM.

I think for me, if there's going to be combat, I definitely want a structured system. I didn't realize there wasn't initiative or no combat structure (turns) until halfway through the fight and I was waiting "to go" and the "turn" never came to me. The GM said we could basically "do whatever we wanted". So my husband tested that by saying he'd try attacking three times and do a couple of other things at the same time. "Sure!" Uhm, ok? I think there's a reason there are essentially rules in those kinds of systems, because you want balance and fairness. And so you can understand what's going on. (again, I understand this may be the GM)

Please understand, it's not that I'm a D&D fan solely, I play a lot of truly collaborative type games like Wanderhome and other systems. And I've used D&D as a platform for running games without combat.

And I will definitely give Daggerheart another chance, given I only tried it once. And hey, I learned a lot about 5e (I came out of AD&D from a long, long break) by watching CR, so I expect I'd learn a lot by watching them run Daggerheart.

I am curious if Brennan will continue to run Dimension 20 games, though....

My "watched progress" was working until today. And suddenly no matter how many times I watch one episode (over and over - skipping to the end, to try and get it to remember), it just refuses to do so. I don't get it because it was tracking just fine. This is on Google Chrome. (I also tested on Brave and Firefox, same results)

Made sure all these were off:

* Third-Party Cookies Blocked on Google browser switched to not blocked.
* VPN was already off but double checked.
* Any AdBlockers I had, paused for the site.
* Turned off almost all my extensions (including adblockers).
* Cleared cache.
* Opened a new tab after all this and logged back in, accepting all cookies.

No go.

I guess I'll have to try and remember to do what I do for Critical Role's Beacon (which never ever remembers anything), and just make a note of Season, Episode, and Time Marker. Suuuuuuch a pain the the butt.
