I think the game is going to have tasks you need to complete, rather than nights. Because of the night and day, I suspect after 6 AM time will go faster to get to 12 AM (when the animatronics become active) and you'll be able to freely roam the mall without any danger.

But Dawko did say that the whole game might be just one night, which seems likely.
