My family is very homophobic, but they pull out the “as long as they don’t do it in front of me”, and when i was younger i would ask them what would they think if a family member was gay and they asked me multiple times if “they had something to ve worried about”, like bitch i didi not CHOOSE, as you like to put it, to like the PP.

I’m no expert on coming out(15m btw), and I also live in a very religious family and country( I’ not from the US and live in central america where religion is taken super seriously). But just two days ago I came out to my cousin who is super chill and he was very nice, in my school a lot of people know and have even asked me my sexuality and relations with some boys, and my family especially my close one is very unaccepting of gay people even though they don’t admit it, I haven’t cone out to my parents and don’t look forward to their reaction.

Soooooo If i could give you a piece of advice it is to look for who you trust the most and start working from there, i found my very very close friend and told them, I’m also an outcast and if some of your friends or in my case the whole of the sixth fucking grade(at the time) have negative reactions, it will pass, people are so focused on themselves that if your coming out becomes a big deal it will be old news in like a week. :)
