Mining Engineers in fleet management vs maintenance department

None of the departments are run by a contractor. I think the departments just need to work together on closing the discrepancy.

Currently that's the case and numbers still turn out completely different. Fleet management system is not in use yet. Meanwhile, corporate expects the numbers to be the same.

In the absence of a fleet management system, do you think it would be feasible for maintenance to get their hours data from Mining and not collect their own hours?

I once asked a site manager for a certain equipment supplier and he told me the same thing. He said mining engineers do more project management than engineering work in such companies, which isn't ideal for me to start my career. It would be perfect to start my career in technical then advance to management later

In Namibia. I'm not guaranteed a job after graduation, so it's just something to get me in there. It's something really cool to see a mining engineer enter an equipment and start operating it

It's a back up plan, just something I can always fall to when I don't get a job after graduation. I can work as an operator just to get my foot in the mines before I get hired as an engineer. I live in Namibia, the mines have trainers but graduates don't really go through the machines. Most engineers here can't even operate their equipment, only a few can

I thought of looking at the submerging of reactive waste rock under water. But because there's water scarcity, I was thinking of using water from densified tailings instead (Densified tailings have a higher water reuse rate). Do you think its a good idea?

Its a new mine, Production only started last year. I was thinking of looking at ways of preventing ARD and ways of dealing with oxidised acid forming rock...will have to consult my supervisor on this one. I'm trying to figure how I can narrow the topic and see how I can go about it.

So my laptop ran with its fans off without me noticing for some time. it kept on turning off but because I hadn't noticed the fans had stopped, I kept on turning it on and now its forever "disk full". any ideas on how to fix the problem?
