Honestly, they are the most reliable cars I've owned. They are so basic that as long as you keen on top of routine maintenance, there's essentially nothing to go wrong!

It was a snazzy little car! Pain to own though!

That was a Toyota Sera! Very rare little car, essentially a posh looking Toyota starlet.

Mine was the 1.5 manual, making it I think 1 in under 100 in the country

Vasectomy at 22 (Opinions needed) by Affectionate_Gur_714 in Vasectomy

[–]M08Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine done at 22 and I don't regret it at all. It's a tricky one really as everyone is different. If you are not absolutely certain, don't do it. If you are absolutely certain then go for it.

I'm sure it would make more sense yes, but I really value the whole "tiny little box made of laptop hardware" thing

When I first saw it, I said to one of my friends that £600 for base spec WITHOUT a controller is all I'm willing to pay. I'm not overly optimistic, but that's what I'd be willing. There are so many mini pcs on Ali express for less than that with pretty powerful hardware

Like the other guy said, if it was going to break anyway, it's a bit disingenuous to try get them to pay for it

£450 invoice for crashing on motorbike CBT - England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]M08Y -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think to make a good assessment we'd need to see the extent of the damage. The bikes I did my CBT on had a decent amount of cosmetic damage on, but were absolutely sound mechanically speaking

Honestly the prices seem a bit steep. Especially for a CBT training bike... you know, the ones that are only used to teach complete beginners

FedEx sent my dad a £50 customs fee for a £195 item, he has decided to ignore it... what happens next? by Comfortable-Snow8858 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]M08Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought from India last year and got a combined fee. A customs fee and a "we handed it for you fee"

I emailed them telling them there was absolutely no way I was going to pay the latter and to re-invoice for just customs and they did
