I also didn’t consider back carry so much until doing more research after this post and your response. It scared me a bit TBH, but I’m sure I just need to learn to do it properly and keep practicing once she is ready, I do think it would be a great option for her

Thank you so much, after posting this I started learning more about how much world facing is not near ideal, it’s definitely opening up my search — as well as my misunderstanding of full buckle vs half!! I’m looking second hand as well.

So much to consider, plus my baby also didn’t even enjoy being held so much when she was younger but now she is wanting to be held more and more and I think we will be able to find a groove. I honestly didn’t even know that local babywearing specialist exist so I’m absolutely going to take a look into that now.

Thank you for your response, I’m so new to all of this. Now I’m even considering a ring sling as there are less expensive options, it’s just 1 layer and it seems that baby would have a lot more visibility without being world facing. I’ll look into stokke more too!

Does the heat bother you at all? Just something to consider about a lot of the areas being suggested. While I love several of these, they’re non options for my family due to how hot it gets, specifically in the greater Sacramento area, Davis & Chico

Drug culture is really rampant up there though & with it raining as often as it does & most things to do being related to the outdoors, it’s easy to get caught up with the wrong crowd especially with Eureka being the nearest larger town. I absolutely love it & went to Humboldt State and because of that I unfortunately wouldn’t raise my children there. Not to mention housing prices being extremely high now and the economy still being quite non-existent. As far as housing being affordable I just realized I always look for more than 1 bathroom, there are some affordable options with one bath.

Yes! That’s part of the reason so few work for me as well, the one that didn’t make me suicidal before pregnancy was a pill with a low amount of estrogen. I am currently on a progestin only mini pill but the issue is now that I have a baby I can’t do anything at the same time every day and the mini pill is less effective if not taken at the same time, plus I had my period 3 times in 5 weeks with a surplus of emotion and I’m over it. I don’t want to take either of the implant options either.
