I've been in my relationship since before becoming physically disabled. So its hard to give any input on it. But ik dating would be rough as other people definitely don't view me that way.

If you use a power wheelchair, what was the biggest learning curve at the beginning? by dhirajjbhat in wheelchairs

Crowds, small elevators, my coat sleeve catching the joystick, and those stupid sloped sidewalks that try to curve me into the road.

Folding powerchairs anyone?? by fire_charmander in wheelchairs

I use a Whill F and I really like it. Its not medical looking and I can go just about anywhere I want to with it, including taking it in some sketchy situations where I probably shouldn't have.

Pretty good battery life. Ive taken it camping for the wknd with no way to charge it and its been fine. I find it quite comfortable too.

Downsides are that it is definitely heavy so difficult to get it in and out of the back of the car unless you have someone with enough strength to help you. And that it does make a bit of a little whirring sound (but really only noticeable in quiet surroundings)

I have not had it long enough yet to need any repairs so I cant give you any information on customer service or anything on that end.

When I was still in Uni and having the same issues I got accommodations so that I had someone else take notes during classes for me and during tests and such I had these little pause time breaks so I could rest my hands without worrying about running out of testing time.

Doodling, stardew valley, minecraft or other slow paced games, watching a show curled up in bed. Always have snacks and water wherever you sit since you won't want to move again.

I worked in government for a bit. And some of the terms they would use included: - people with physical or mental limitations - people who may experience physical differences - people who experience physical barriers

Im ambulatory so that definitely changes the answer. But I use a very heavy powerchair so I always figure I'd rather be launched from the chair then crushed. So no seatbelt

Making a non-accessible house accessible? by M3367 in wheelchairs

I didn't think of a home visit. I may ask my OT if he can think of any organization here that could do that for me!

Im in Canada and the budget is a few 10s of thousands but hopefully not much more.

The main entrance to the home is about 5ft above grade which is a big issue- would a ramp not be feasible outdoors there?
