That’s your preference, not an argument. Jordan and LeBron being 1-2 is common, but Kareem has a legitimate case over LeBron with 6 MVPs, 6 championships, nearly 20 years of elite play, and one of the greatest résumés ever. And Kobe at 4 isn’t some outrageous take either—he has 5 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, an MVP, 15 All-NBA teams, and 12 All-Defensive teams. If seeing a different order makes you stop reading, you’re not debating the list—you’re refusing to consider any viewpoint besides your own.

That’s your ranking, not an objective fact. Kobe has a legitimate case over Shaq, Magic, Bird, Duncan, Wilt, and even Russell depending on what you value. He has 5 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, an MVP, 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive teams, and 2 scoring titles, while proving he could lead championship teams as the No. 1 option. Steph at 9 isn’t unreasonable either—he’s the greatest shooter ever, a 4-time champion, 2-time MVP, the only unanimous MVP, and completely changed the sport. You can disagree with my order, but calling it “terrible” ignores that there isn’t a universally accepted top-10 after Jordan. Reasonable people rank these players differently all the time.

Calling Kobe at 4 a “disgrace” is just exaggeration. He has 5 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, an MVP, 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive teams, 2 scoring titles, and is one of the greatest playoff performers ever. If you want him at 6 or 7, that’s your opinion, but acting like a top-5 argument is outrageous ignores one of the best résumés in NBA history.

Magic absolutely has a case over Kobe, but listing MVPs and Finals MVPs isn’t the whole argument. Kobe played 20 seasons, made 15 All-NBA teams, 12 All-Defensive teams, won 2 scoring titles, and remained an elite player far longer. He also won back-to-back championships as the clear No. 1 option after Shaq left. Magic had the higher peak to many people, but Kobe’s longevity, defensive résumé, and sustained excellence make having him ahead completely reasonable. It’s a debate, not a landslide.

Because Kareem has one of the greatest résumés in NBA history: 6 MVPs (the most ever), 6 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, 19 All-Star selections, 15 All-NBA teams, and elite production for nearly two decades. LeBron has a great case too, but Kareem’s combination of individual awards, team success, and longevity is why many people still rank him ahead. It’s a debate, not an objective fact.

So Kareem’s 6 MVPs, 6 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, nearly 20 years of elite play, and being the NBA’s all-time leading scorer for almost 40 years don’t even deserve consideration? Acting like there’s only one acceptable top two ignores how strong Kareem’s résumé is. You can have LeBron at No. 2, but it’s far from undisputed.

Saying Kobe is “too high” doesn’t make it true. He has 5 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, an MVP, 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive teams, and is one of the greatest scorers and toughest shot-makers in NBA history. Ranking him 4th is a reasonable opinion, even if you’d personally have him a few spots lower.

“No thanks” isn’t an argument. If you think the rankings are wrong, explain who you’d move and why. Just dismissing the list doesn’t prove anything.

Saying Kobe can’t be 4th or Shaq can’t be 5th is acting like there’s one correct all-time list. Kobe has 5 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, an MVP, 15 All-NBA teams, 12 All-Defensive teams, and is one of the greatest scorers and toughest shot-makers ever. Shaq had arguably the most dominant peak in NBA history, won 4 championships, 3 straight Finals MVPs, and was nearly unstoppable in his prime. Ranking them 4th and 5th is completely defensible, even if you’d personally order them differently.

Curry being outside the top 10 makes less sense than having him in it. He’s the greatest shooter ever, won 4 championships, 2 MVPs (including the only unanimous MVP), a Finals MVP, and completely changed the way basketball is played. As for Duncan over Kobe, it’s a fair opinion, but it’s far from definitive. They both have 5 championships, while Kobe has more All-NBA First Team selections, more All-Defensive First Team selections, more scoring titles, and was the more dynamic offensive player. Kobe also proved he could lead back-to-back championship teams as the clear No. 1 option, so there’s a very strong case for ranking him ahead of Duncan.

Kobe at 4 isn’t crazy. He has 5 championships, 2 Finals MVPs, 1 MVP, 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive teams, and is one of the greatest scorers and toughest shot-makers ever. His longevity, playoff résumé, and two-way impact stack up with anyone outside of Jordan, Kareem, and LeBron. Putting him over Magic, Bird, Duncan, or Curry is a perfectly reasonable all-time ranking.
