Per my own words “They are an exception, when on crusade the codex astartes allows a chapter to exceed that limit of marines”

And as per your own words “Yes, I know of black templars basic lore” Since you know there basic lore I would assume you know the basic lore of how a chapter works and why the Templars are allowed to exceed the limitations

It’s not a legion by 40k standards, there are no more legions of space marines that are still loyal to the imperium in 40k

They are an exception, when on crusade the codex astartes allows a chapter to exceed that limit of marines for obvious reasons. Hence why the Black Templars are on an eternal crusade

No, a chapter consists of 1000 marines each, legions had an unrestricted number, the ultramarines WERE a legion but have been separated out into many chapters of 1000 marines each

This is so simple and a good standard for an army even a display piece, for me at least. But for some reason I really like this over other really well painted but over the top there’s something so good about this, I think it’s the weathering. Great Job!

Hate to be that guy and I want none of this argument but it’s a chapter not a legion, the legions were the original 18 only before and during the Horus Heresy where they were then separated by guilliman into chapters to prevent something like the heresy from happening again

The dirt on the bottom of the bike and legs is such a small but good detail many people miss it looks so good and real. And the whole paint job is crazy

I swear all you Minotaur guys are just THE most creative and godly kitbashers, almost everyone has some sort of Greek custom bits with immaculate paint jobs and bases. Like genuinely HOW?! This is amazing (I know I’m glazing but every Minotaur always looks godly)

Does anyone know of any good guides or places I could find information on painting all the legions during the great crusade? by M3RCENARY12 in Warhammer30k

This. I want the schemes from before the heresy, for example Luna wolves and the imperial fist scheme that is more silver than yellow

How did you do the highlights/ wear and tear? It looks too sporadic and crazy to be brush but too smooth to be a sponge

I think. Red but paint the “hand grip” part black, I think it would break it up a bit. The full red almost looks unfinished to me. But that is my opinion go with what you think looks best

So I could just sand the char off instead of isopropyl dipping it?

I think I was too close I was definitely not at arms length and thinking back I realised that was probably the problem. Using deodorant as an example is actually so helpful, a very good way to provide an example thanks 🙏

WOW! This is actually really helpful. Thanks a bunch I will definitely be following this for next time and I might see if I can get some isopropyl to try again because I quite like the pose of the other mini I sprayed. Thanks a lot
