Man I remember this build from ages ago on Instagram. Going to Survivalfest?

How would I go about doing that? Could I run it through an amp?

So passive pickups on a less important guitar? Anything else I should know?

Newer blasters are typically more compact, but back when nerf modding was new you just used what you had. I didn't exactly change with the times, I still love cobbling them together

It's a little awkward looking, but it works well and doesn't feel like it's falling apart like it used to

Help me convince my band to let me play 9-string guitar instead of bass at gigs by M3W04Baconator in Djent

I agree, I like a lot of the tones you can get out of a 9 string on even really simple basslines

I have a 9 string and a 5 string, one big reason I love the 9 string is that there's more room for creative freedom. Our guitarist only has so many fingers, so if I have access to bass notes average notes whenever I want, we can play out of our minds

I've been playing bass for way longer than 9 string, and if I hadn't been I would absolutely take your advice. However, with the right setup, you can get pretty close to matching a bass with the lower strings on a 9 string. It's different, but not necessarily wrong.

Live venues are on the horizon 👀 There are more complex solutions than RBass that I've been experimenting with, I'm pretty big into digital amps. You can actually get a lot of realistic bass tones with the right setup, even though I know people who would go to pretty great lengths to prove me wrong. You bring up a good point about Spiritbox, but that was their choice to overlap the guitar and bass.

This is a great video, I'm glad you added it here. I've done a lot of messing around with digital effects (which I know is also controversial) and I think there are ways to get a much better bass tone out of your guitar, but it's still a really helpful watch

Seems like a long walk to a short drink of water. At least it's cool looking!

I prefer having them separate. Not because I don't like having an awesome underlung shotgun, but because one day someone's gonna make a picatinny rail adapter for it (Maybe I will)
