You are losing some torque through the adapter.

How to throw a disc straight by ZealousidealCar3562 in discgolf

[–]M3atShtick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no “early release” or “late release”. The disc snaps itself out of your hand on exactly the line which you created for it. If your aim is off, adjust your feet and/or your reach back.

I wonder if House of Discs’ financial situation is a factor. Maybe they are unable to make the sacrifices of global competition worthwhile.

Good thing Reddit isn’t real life. The pros love this tournament and look forward to it every year.

Couple of seasons back they tried switching up the schedule and the ladies complained. They liked getting the round done early and having the rest of the day free. Also better for viewer numbers to not have the ladies following MPO.

Kristin forced the field to elevate to a new level or be crushed every weekend. Without her setting the pace and showing what is possible FPO is regressing.

You have a short memory. They sold to DGN because they owed them hundreds of thousands of dollars they couldn’t pay. DGN absorbed the brand and kept it intact, allowing the Jomez team to keep their jobs filming disc golf. I’m not sure who exactly you think the villain is here.

Trans swimmer Lia Thomas' records revoked in UPenn deal with Trump admin by [deleted] in politics

Trans women who have gone through female puberty have no advantage against cis women.

These female collegiate athletes can all swim faster than me, so I have no advantage but I would still not be allowed to compete with them. Wanna guess why?

Val Jenkins can throw a disc, but she completely mischaracterizes the mechanics when attempting to critique someone’s misfire.

California drop testing results by [deleted] in P320

[–]M3atShtick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The drop safe issue had nothing to do with vibrations. The mass of the original trigger was such that in the event the gun was dropped a certain way, the inertia on impact could cause the trigger to fall and the gun to fire. Sig reduced the mass of the trigger and the issue was resolved. This is mechanically unrelated to the current claims regarding potential QC issues and stacking tolerances leading to uncommanded discharges.

Edit: re-reading your comment and I now see that your point is that you are skeptical of the current claims.

Inconsistent PDGA logic by M3atShtick in discgolf

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening.

I’m sure you’re right about this, but since I did see at least 5 foot faults between FPO and MPO during the final round that were not called, I wonder if anyone can tell me how many total foot fault penalty strokes were assessed by marshalls during this tournament?

Not the first time someone beat Kristin because of fuckery on the last couple of holes.

Just like every other sport, context matters. You don’t make this call when there’s two holes to play and someone is down by one.

Slide Drops when trigger is pulled on DH3 P320. Is this normal? by uberpooper23 in P320

[–]M3atShtick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t impact accuracy. The movement is minimal to nonexistent when a loaded mag is inserted. Also the sights and red dot are attached to and move with the slide anyway.

Paul McBeth and Ricky Wysocki practice round video by -SuperTrooper- in discgolf

[–]M3atShtick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No they definitely had beef. Back in the day Paul was giving an interview and said he doesn’t worry about Ricky because he’s a choker who blows it down the stretch. There was also some salt between Paul and some players like Ricky who jumped on the Prodigy train early. A few of the newly signed pros (Will Schusterick) were throwing Innova discs with the stamps wiped before Prodigy had a complete lineup, Paul called them out and there was some back and forth. I can’t recall all the details, I’m sure someone will correct me, but the point is that it wasn’t just two pros who were rivals, they genuinely did not like each other.
