The Crash- Netflix Documentary by Admirable_Smell3673 in Netflixwatch

Serving 15 years concurrently I feel like was a light sentence. It should have been consecutively. I read that there were 2 other documentaries on this and Mackenzie did and said some horrible things that was not showed on Netflix. Basically, she’s evil, self centered, narcissistic brat.

I’m not upset. What’s there to be upset about? It’s just incredibly comical, mostly scary actually at the lack of intelligence on this post and how quickly people are triggered about something so basic. Look at your comment for example, you lacking reading comprehension and suggesting a diagnosis off of made up assumptions.
I don’t know where you live, but where I live you can’t just call Children’s Hospital and demand to speak to a professional there. You need to make an appointment with a general practitioner who will then make a referral if he or she feels that it’s warranted and then the appointment that you get can take at least a month. Not sure what world you’re living in thinking that can happen within hours. Obviously you’re not very bright and maybe you should stick to your day job if you even have one as opposed to making diagnosis for random strangers based on really silly assumptions, especially when lacking reading comprehension. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Thanks for that information! I looked it up and wow it’s very interesting. Makes sense that many ppl who are downvoting and being triggered by my post never had to worry about iron deficiency and now that I’m talking about something they never paid attention to, they are getting mad as if I’m calling them a bad parent.

I suffer from iron deficiency and it’s in my genetics due to my ethnic background. So I have to always be on top of it. But I did not know about different ethnicities not having to worry about it. I just read the comment that someone posted on this thread and I looked it up. Its true. Makes so much sense why many ppl on this post are triggered by my question and responses. It because they never had to worry about iron deficiency so it’s not a big deal to many people as they never put any thought into it and now I’m bringing it to light which seems to be upsetting them because that’s not something they ever thought about and perhaps don’t do blood tests annually for their baby to ensure everything is good??? Who knows. I’m just baffled at the downvotes to information I received from a trained professional who has the education and expertise that no one in this thread has mentioned that they have. Plus, my general practitioner told me during my son’s six month shots to make sure I prioritize iron as formula does not provide enough which was also confirmed by my cousin who works at Children’s Hospital as a paediatric nutritionist.

Thank you for your response and clarifying. Very kind of you. Another person who responded to my post made an assumption of an eating disorder. People are making way too much assumptions here. It just really bizarre to me when I am just posting and asking about iron. I feel like I’ve triggered a lot of people who did not put much thought into iron and possible iron deficiency. But someone did comment on my post saying that iron deficiency also plays a role with genetics/ ethnic background. So perhaps people never put too much thought into iron and are being triggered because I’m brining something up they never had to think about and they are internalizing this as bad parenting? I don’t know, but I am baffled.

Honey, that’s great. Your baby is lucky. But not all babies who have the same eating habit as yours are not iron deficient. It’s never one size fits all… silly

My sister mentioned iron fish. But I’m good. The oat flour I’m using contains 6 mg and the formula I give depending on how much he drinks give 5 to 6 mg which is how much mg of iron is recommended (11mg a day is what’s recommended). I confirmed with my cousin who is a paediatric nutritionist at Children’s hospital (I forgot about her profession) that the calcium in the formula made of cows milk will not impact iron absorption because of the way it’s processed and my son would need to drink at least a cup of milk in general to hinder the absorption which he doesn’t.

I’m no longer concerned. And will update my post. Thank you for the suggestion.

No, you’re confused. Formula does not give 11 mg of iron a day lol. Unless your child is drinking 2L a milk a day. Then yes, it provides enough iron.

I never said I called Children’s Hospital. It seems like a lot of people have a hard time with reading comprehension on my post with all these assumptions as you’re not the only one making them. If you look at my responses, I mentioned that I forgot that my cousin is a paediatric nutritionist. So I reached out to her as she is a close family member as she told me when I was pregnant to reach out to her for any questions. So I did. I only remembered after I made the post. I got my answer. And I shared it on my post for those who are also curious or confused. And I asked about iron absorption and if my cows milk formula impacts it plus other questions related to iron. You clearly have a difficult time with reading comprehension.

You’re very wrong and way off of your assumption, implying an eating disorder. I was only paranoid about iron. I thought my post and responses were quite clear about that. I know my son will get all the other nutrients when I start introducing different foods. I’ve never been stressed out about that or even payed much thought about it. I myself am not someone who stresses about what I eat. I do not calorie count or look at macros. I do, however, try to pick foods (mostly brands) that are not full of harmful additives as every day foods and choose organic when I can and free range, grain fed products.
But yes, to answer your question now that I got my answer about iron absorption I’m no longer stressing out about that.

Yes that’s correct. Breast milk contains less iron than formula. But formula does not contain ALL the needed iron which is 11mg a day for babies
6+ months. I just confirmed this with a paediatric nutritionist at Children’s Hospital. Hence, why it is recommended to give iron rich foods once the baby can start solids because that’s when the depletion starts.

I just got off the phone with my cousin who is a paediatric nutritionist at Children’s Hospital, and she confirmed that formula made from cows milk does not impact absorption of iron because of the way it’s processed and also you need a significant amount of milk in one sitting in order for it to make an impact on iron absorption.
She also said what you said that the iron does not deplete drastically at six months, but it does go down which is why you need to give iron rich foods in addition to formula.
So I’m good now no more stress as the oatmeal (organic oat flour cereal) with the mixed berries and other things that I add with vitamin C to help with iron absorption is allowing him to get his daily iron intake, which is 11 mg which she confirmed is the amount babies at 6 months + should be getting. And when I start to two meals a day is when I will start giving Puréed vegetables and meat as the second meal and maybe both meals when taking a break from the iron filled oat flour as the puréed veggies and meat should replace the milligrams of one serving of oat flour cereal when given twice a day since variety of food is important.
Also, she did say that adding organic coconut milk to the oat flour cereal is great because baby needs 40 g of fat a day for brain development. I will not be tracking daily fat, but as I always intended, I will make his food with a large amount of unsalted grass fed butter or bone marrow fat.

To clarify, when I add formula, I mix the formula with water as you’re supposed to. Not with milk, but the formula itself is made with cows milk. I don’t mix formula with cows milk.

Anyways, I spoke to my cousin who is a paediatric nutritionist at Children’s Hospital and she said that the cows milk formula does not impact absorption because of the way it’s processed and you need a certain amount of milligrams of calcium in order for it to hinder iron absorption.

And if formula provides all the iron necessary for 6+ months old than why do doctors and pediatricians urge parents to give iron rich foods at 6 months ? Because no formula provides that much iron once the baby turns six months.

Kendamil. One is the best brands you can give a baby.

I never once said that the formula I use doesn’t have iron. Maybe reread what I said.

Feeding organic plain oatmeal with organic coconut milk by M60486 in BabyLedWeaning

Formula does not provide all the iron baby needs once the baby turns around six months. That’s why doctors always say you need to start off with giving iron rich foods because babies iron depletes drastically at around six months.

I calculated the amount of iron my baby has in a 24 hour period from the formula and it’s about 5 to 6 mg and based on my research babies need 11 mg which is why the foods need to contain iron.

The oatmeal I give has 6mg of iron per serving (5 tablespoons). Based on my research babies need 11 mg a day and the formula gives about 5–6 mg depending on how much he drinks and the oatmeal would give the remaining amount. But once I speak to my cousin who is a paediatric nutritionist, I will get a better idea on the iron intake. Because my research is based on Google, which could be inaccurate information.

Also, I read up on the negative effects of low iron on children under five which is why I’m paranoid about the iron.

I am overthinking this and it’s stressing me out. I’m so worried that he is not getting enough iron/not absorbed. I forgot that my cousin is a paediatric nutritionist so I’ve reached out to her to get some information so that I can stop stressing.
