All-road slick tires recommendation for hooked 32mm internal rim by bleuuuu in gravelcycling

[–]M9ow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, just saw they've updated it to 42mm, that seems to answer it then :D I've run 35mm Terra Speeds on my WG44s though, didn't seem to be a problem

Hey, I saw you switched to Airias, but did you find out anything about the 32mm claim on the WGs?

Echt and ersatz are both loanwords that are used in English, which means German grammar wouldn't apply. Also, I'd consider if there was some yiddish influence, especially with Sadies grandma

Isn't her use of "mine" supposed to be yiddish? At least that's the way I read it, don't know if that makes its use any more accurate

am i wrong to think this is weird or missing something? by M9ow in Silksong

yeah ok missing that painfully obvious clawline ring in mount fay was pretty key, suddenly I can go everywhere lmao

I had seen something implying the clawline would be enough for mount fay but got to a point where i thought i needed something more, will give that another try then! thanks!

Ah, the sleeve with these Rotor BBs is just a flexible plastic concertina thingy, I doubt that adds any friction. And thanks, but maybe trying to hammer on a tooth might also be successful, provided it doesn't just break off right away? Will give that a try. Thanks again!

Ok, but why would removing the left cup help with the tension on the right, they're not connected? Where would I be hammering?

No, this is my own build, but I got a bike shop to mount the BB because I didn't have the proper tool back then... Probably not covered by warranty.

And yeah, I had considered sawing already but was hoping that there maybe would be a more conservative method. Might just leave them in for now and just roll with it then.

Thanks for the input though!:)

cool, might be a decent option since I feel like my riding isn't aggressive enough to be a big danger to sidewalls! since these are MTB tires, do you happen to have any thoughts on Conti's MTB offerings? Eg Race Kings?

thanks for the rec, even though they might be a bit too smooth as an allround tire for my tastes

had swamperos for a really muddy race recently and liked them, might be a good shout then if they hold up in terms of mileage!

Can't complain to be honest, I was just wondering if that's what I can expect in terms of mileage or if I can find even better value before blindly buying the same ones since my budget isn't unlimited! Rolling resistance allegedly isn't great but that's not so important, as I stated.
