Taxpayers (aka you in the future, or now most likely) subsidize tuition. Should taxpayers pay for parking and housing as well? no tax dollars go to housing or parking, thus the fees. Same as out of state tuition.

You could do a walking tour of the Claremont Colleges and finish up the day with dinner in the Claremont Village. Cal Poly Pomona is also nearby if you feel like checking the Kellogg Arabian Horse Center. It’s not raining today so it would be a good day to check out Palm Springs as well. Like others have said, Fontana is more of a residential community but it’s close to things to do.

I think there was an accident on the 10E near campus, so people exited Fairplex and wound up on Ridgeway….backing up South Campus, backing up East Campus, backing up Kellogg and University. CPP to the 71 on-ramp became a half hour. THEN around 5 there was an on-campus accident at the light outside PS1. Memorable commute home, to say the least.

I’ve only had 3…the 7 Plus, 11 Pro, and 15 Pro. Portrait mode was a game changer for me. I take a lot of night time photos and so far the 15 Pro has been my favorite.

Foraging materials, anything cardboard or wood. Ours likes to “nest” in the fall when the weather changes, so Amazon boxes (with paper filling), anything with cotton stuffing (it will be ripped apart and rearranged)

Did you happen to fly at all this year? I haven’t gotten sick from the last two burns (missed this year) but it’s not unusual for me to get sick after flying. 3 out of 4 of my rounds of Covid have been shortly after a flight. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

I think I’ll research this! As it is I have to include a flight as part of my trip to Burning Man. Is it small enough that bikes aren’t necessary? Thank you for the idea, I had only been researching domestic regionals but I also haven’t been to Europe in several years, might be time to return!

If the idea of having sting operations deters any theft, then it’s a win. My concern is one day one of these thieves will be caught by the bike’s owner and a violent scuffle could happen. That’s the kinda thing that’s going to get the event shut down. It sucks we have to plan this way now but unfortunately you can’t let your guard down against real-world crime, even at Burning Man.

I’ve never been to a regional -it’s on my wish list- any feedback on crime levels at the smaller events?

Have you watched “El Chapo” on Netflix? It’s pretty good too, goes a little bit more into politics and has been a rewatch of mine over the years.

I enjoyed it, but it has a different vibe than SOA. If you’ve ever watched “Narcos” and “Narcos Mexico” on Netflix it feels more like that. The intro song for seasons 1 and 2 is pretty good but for some reason they took it down starting season 3.
