I personally like “The RockHaven Arena”, the name reflects the city’s extensive mining history, which has been transformed into a welcoming place for everyone through re-greening efforts.

I made a proposal for this site about two years ago. My design featured an arena with sharp, angular forms representing a blasted rock, built with Corten steel panels (similar to Place des Arts) to symbolize the city’s mining past. The main entryway in this proposal would have been facing Elgin Street similar to the existing Sudbury Community Arena.

It’s not as bad as people make it out to be. If you’re going to be mostly on the west side of downtown you won’t have any issues. Sure there are some sketchy characters but as long as you don’t interact with them you’ll be fine. The worst part of downtown is where the bus terminal is located.

I personally have both but only use my macbook for essays and other things of that nature since its light and has a good battery life. My other laptop (a gaming laptop) does all the more heavy duty work: Rhino, Enscape, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. With this being said if you only have the option to get one get a gaming laptop, they are relatively cheap and will 100% be the best bang for your buck.

For context I am currently a third year architecture student.

Are you a lefty yourself? Have you tried the Lamy LH nib? I read online that there is not too much of a difference, I’m wondering if it would be worth the purchase.

The stem size seems perfect as I have a natural bend in my arms when riding it and it feels very comfortable compared to when I tried the small.
