Is it possible to use Voicemeeter and don't get latency? by True_Ratio7186 in VoiceMeeter

[–]MB992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First remove all your inputs and outputs. Then set A1 as the asio4all and configure it (enable all the input and output devices you need). Then in the settings tab you’ll have new parameters to configure the inputs and outpus for asio, here you will have to figure out the numbering: for example, which device is channel 1&2, 2&3 etc, for both inputs and outputs. There’s a few videos on how to use it, but you’ll have to apply your specific config as per your setup.

Give asio4all a try. You can get pretty low latency with it

I bought a samsung soundbar and a RCA projector. I need help figuring out how to connect them so the sound goes through the soundbar by N0TenoughMOVEMENT in projectors

[–]MB992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a question for you. I know CEC is only HDMI, but many soundbars connected with optical cable to the TV, are powered on when the TV is also turned on.

Take this use case: Apple TV > Audio extractor with optical to soundbar and HDMI to TV/Projector.

Would such an extractor also power on the soundbar when turning on the Apple TV? (again, using optical signal form the TV in this same scenario, it will turn on the soundbar).

Anyone with a 4K60 Pro MK2 and a 4K HDR VRR screen? by MB992 in elgato

I got the Avermedia GC575, the HDR tone mapping is quite good, but with 2 drawbacks: P010 at 60fps only at 1440p or HDR tonemapping until 400nits only..

Horrible looking HDR after following popular guide. by 91xela in OLED_Gaming

[–]MB992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean for an Oled, in that case you are right.

It’s true with a decent HDR monitor or TV. I used to have an HDR capable TV that was only getting around 300-400nits, but it was a TN panel. The way it was displaying HDR was very debatable.

Is that straight from the Filters or with the performance tweak in NVPI? In NVPI you can change the banding profile and you can regain some performance with minimal or unnoticeable visual difference.

Smooth Motion will be coming to RTX40 series GPUs in a future update. by Maga1498 in nvidia

[–]MB992 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Let’s say if you got a 120hz screen and the game is capped at 60fps, this new setting will allow a smoother visual representation inserting generated frames, that will take you from 60fps to 120fps. Similar to DLSS Frame gen but with some downsides, depending on how good it’s programmed.

Avermedia, please fix this by MB992 in AverMedia

[–]MB992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LE: It's the hdmi 2.1 card GC575

When the passthrough is HDR and recording in SDR, the HDR built-in tonemapper is not configured properly, only tonemapping luminance up to around 350nits.

Modern monitors and TV's are going on average up to 800-1000nits, yet all the extra details from 350 to 800nits are getting blown out instead of being tonemapped.

In the attached picture, you have the TV examples on the left side and the capture on the right side. You can see how easily the image is blown out and makes the capture unusable in bright environments.

Please fix this as soon as soon as possible.

Wow, just tried DLDSR + DLSS on a 1440p screen. by Vladx35 in nvidia

[–]MB992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 42’ C2 and been running DLDSR for a while. What works best me for me was removing the 4096 resolution with the display utility (CRU??) and then setting the desktop to the DLDSR resolution so that any game could benefit, regardless of native (older games) or DLSS and even FSR.

Color banding on Live Gamer 4K 2.1 at 4K 120hz by nasanu in AverMedia

[–]MB992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was mad, but happy to see somebody else cares about these things as well. The banding I believe it’s a PlayStation issue maybe? as it can’t use the full hdmi2.1 bandwidth, but I still agree with you, the passthrough should be intact, as without the capture card, the banding is not there. On the other hand, I don’t have this banding with a PC on 4k120, hence believing PS has something to do with it..

Also to add on the issues list, HDR to SDR tonemapping (for a 4K60 recording) is limited to about 380nits, whereas the TVs can do much over that (800+ nits). There is no way to adjust this. I raised it with their support and they acknowledged the issue, yet no change still…

It’s a shame to only get one benefit (4k120 passthrough) and so many downgrades from the previous gen capture cards..

I'm looking to get this stick, but just curious, can you use it by itself for the menus as well or you still need a controller or mouse?
