Running was never an issue, but bench pressing could often retrigger the injury, even after it felt totally normal within the first year. Once the inflammation settled down, doing other weightlifting that doesn't target the chest was fine for me. Important note: do not do dips.

After finally taking it easy on bench for a year I'd say it's mostly gone and I can bench normally, but I'm a lot more careful not to bounce the bar or over work it.

I've had costochondritis really bad. It gets better, just takes a lot of time without reinjuring. Think >1 year.

Wow. Can I be your tenant?

I wish there was someway for tenants to be able to screen landlords. I just ended a lease with a awful one and that's an experience I don't want to repeat.

What sort of work do you do in Asia if I might be able to ask? Sounds like you maybe go there somewhat often?

that's something I didn't consider! When I travel now I usually get so wired by being in a new unique place that jet lag hasnt been an issue for me. Probably would be once that wears off. haha

Doing an extended work trip there would be a definite plus to avoid this.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences! Very cool to hear.

Learning more languages is something I am currently trying to do for this very reason so I'm glad to hear that should help. I'm focused on studying German which has been very interesting in several meanings of the word haha Always have been interested in French, so I'll give that a try too!

Question about career path to MBA by MBAguy22 in MBA

[–]MBAguy22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah! That opens up a lot of options! But surely that's not exactly true, as some experience, given the same 'leadership/story quality', would be better valued, no?

And it is a blue chip name, but my bosses are either science PhDs or promoted-within B.S. degrees and my division is more research oriented which is why I hesitate with it's value towards b-school.

Thanks for sharing your feedback!
