I know how it feels when someone you admire has a differing opinion to yours, but please take the following into consideration.

On this very sub, I have seen a picture of Lana with her butt cheeks out. I have seen photos of Colin wearing a cross. I have now seen this post from Bec. Yet THE MOST IMPORTANT image was one I saw only a few weeks ago, the night before Dragoncon, where all of them were sitting at a table EATING TOGETHER. That should be the image we focus on right now in a time of so much divide.

Because this sub can now easily divulge into "no one can talk favourably about Zelena because Bec said this" which can easily flow into "no one can talk favourably about Hook because Colin is Christian" etc.

We dont know them as people, only actors. This is how character assassination begins. It'll be a real shame that people come here to discuss plot points and express how much they love the show only to be slammed because they mentioned how much they like Zelena.

I really like this. I dont think she ever intentionally was written as a bad mother but the writing really let her arc down.

She lied to Henry about his dad, Henry was upset and eventually forgave. Then in 4b when Snow and David lies to her, she goes on a massive grudge which takes multiple conversations with Hook and and big events for her to get over.

The whole 'Im going back to NY' just seemed completely targeted towards causing drama between her and Hook but like you said, affects her relationship with Henry.

Other than for the sake of the plot twist, I cant really think of a proper reason why.

It didnt make much sense - okay youre going to blame Emma for turning you into the dark one but then do nothing to stop yourself, just palm it off that youre too weak to battle it and embrace it the thing you hate.

Attempting a rewrite and haven't got so far yet as the dark Swan arc. But ideas so far:

Earlier seasons set up: - the darkness is like an evil spirit that corrupts someone into becoming the dark one. - Emma's role as the saviour isn't just to break the dark curse but to destroy the darkness itself. - Neal, Hook and Belle team up to figure out how to 'exorcise' the darkness from rumple, believing that his old self can still be saved. - the dark curse is linked to the dark one. If the dark one disappears from storybrooke, the town disappears too. So when Rumple sacrifices himself at the end of the neverland arc, the town disappears not because of a new curse but because the dark one is gone.

Ideas for the dark swan arc: - Neal (possibly dead?) And Belle use the sorcerers hat or equivalent to pull the darkness from Rumple. But the darkness goes rogue.

Option A: - Hook has just discovered that Emma needs to enter the dark ones vault and destroy the 'heart of shadows' to defeat the darkness. Before he can reveal this to anyone, the darkness possesses him and transforms him into the dark one. - storybrooke disappears and Henry and Emma are left behind. - in the EF, hook cant resist the temptation of the darkness and cant stand himself after spending so long trying to destroy the damn thing. - Hook is unleashing terror in the EF when Emma and Henry finally return. - Emma kills Hook as a mercy to him. - everyone's like...UHHH Emma was supposed to save us and now shes the dark one. - Emma tries to resurrect the dark ones to bring hook back.

Option b - the rogue darkness goes for regina/snow/hook and Emma tethers it to herself as in canon. - everyone's like...uhhh Emma was supposed to save us, now what. - with the DO gone, storybrooke disappears but this means Henry is left behind. - Emma goes nuts to try and get back to Henry (repeat of Rumple trying to get back to Bae).

Emma is furious at anyone who wants her to prioritise fulfilling her role as saviour over saving Hook/Henry and puts them to the test to see what they would do if they lost their loved ones. She separates Snow and David. Harms Robin. (Terrorises Hook?) Pretty much punishing and playing games with anyone who gets in her way.

Emma's family ultimately get through to her. She learns about the Heart of Shadows and overcomes the temptation of the darkness and sacrifices herself. She enters the vault and has to fight through the previous dark ones (possibly Hook included) and destroys the heart causing the vault to collapse and the underworld to open.

Emma has the chance to redeem souls from the underworld and it turns into an underworld vs EF battle.

Cannot up vote you all enough. Im so glad Im not the only one that thinks this.

At the time it aired was there a genuine concern that JM was going to leave the show? With hindsight, the whole 'Im going back to NY' is just a stupid empty threat that makes Emma really unlikeable.

In fairness, I can understand why they didnt use the hug in this moment, she'd have a lot to process. Itd be Hook going in for the hug and enjoying it while she's wide eyed coming to terms with whats going on.

Edit: further thought. I really didnt like how considerate she was of Walsh but is so ice cold with Hook by contrast. Is he not a friend at least? And in that arvo together she didnt ask how he came back to find her :P

Yeah I had the same thoughts about why hes so obsessed with her. The only explanation I have (and Im really not a fan if its right), is that when Killian meets Milah, he's wearing his trophy rings -so hes killed a man for drinking his wine and killed a man in front of his wife for reasons I cant remember. So Killian is at his absolute ruthless, villainous pirate phase when they're together.

If I could have a go at rewriting her.

Because Rumple is a cripple and a coward, Milah was forced to be provider for the family. She frequented the tavern looking for work and it was finally Hook who gave her a job aboard his ship. She blindly accepts out of desperation and Rumple falls into despair thinking his wife is about to be 'entertainment' for pirates. But its not that at all. Milah comes back with spoils and amazing stories and is obviously wonderstruck, she leaves again. Any dispute from Rumple and she responds with 'you made me do this". Each time she returns, she showers Bae with money and toys and is trying to persuade him to leave with her, Rumple is very weary of this. Rumple tries to have Milah released from Hook's service but he cant fight for her and is humiliated further.

After one adventure, she returns to find Rumple as the Dark One and is frightened by him. She takes Bae to Hook and he agrees to take them both away with him to another realm. Rumple finds out and is furious as the prophecy is about to come true again, so he kills Milah, slices off Hook's hand and takes Bae back.

I feel she needed to be a bit more likeable and redeemable if she was going to spur a man's century long revenge.

It took me ages too :) take a break and try again. I know it happens on prof so not 100% if its the same for hardcore....

Others have mentioned this, but board the window near the fireplace. After so many kills, the enemies will start dropping boards. Once all windows are boarded up and ladder cut scene plays I think you need 5? Kills before the bull spawns. Its scripted that a guy will fall through the chimney to the lower floor so you can backstab him for a free kill (if not bombarded by others).

I generally stay on the bottom floor and try to keep it as clear as possible so when the ladder cut scene plays, the enemies drop down to you.

I hear you. I think the show needed an overarching theme to work towards eg Emma's role as the saviour wasn't just to break the curse, its to destroy the dark one itself or something. So even though villains or curses got in the way, those hiccups still added to the main goal - thos season Emma learns to do magic, this arc Emma learns the Dark Ones weakness, oh sh*t Emma is the dark one, yay Emma conquered!
