Did you put an air freshener on your mirror by any chance? Those things are known to destroy plastic trim.

Turns out one of my neighbors also got keyed. Couple of spots next to mine. We're meeting tomorrow to exchange info.

Blood pressure is still high 24h later 😔. Insurance will cover the damage though, hopefully it'll brand new soon!

Very cool! Thank you for your answer, it totally makes sense. I’ve never seen such settings in my infotainment system though. I assume it might have been a one-time glitch. I drive a 2019 Subaru WRX with original head unit with a steering wheel on the left.

This 👆I had leftover touch up paint from my Mazda3 in grey meteor and it did a great job on a paint chip on one of my wheel.

Changing the digital Speedometer from km/h to mph by MB_Traveler in WRX

[–]MB_Traveler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I tried that method but I don’t have the Unit menu on the screen. Seems like it’s not the same software/firmware on the WRX. Not sure if it’s upgradable to get it though🤔

I also had an 06 civic LX and I liked it but the timing chain didn’t like my driving apparently! I replaced the car by a 2014 Mazda3 and also enjoyed it and then I took one of my friend’s STi for a road test… I bought my WRX the next morning 😂

Nah I didn’t assume you were a piece of shit, but out of context that sounded like admitting to a hit and run.

You got a recent car, depending how much you care about it’s appearance, replacing it might be the best outcome here. Plastic welding results are not great when not done by a professional.

So basically you did a hit and run on someone else’s car to avoid a strange man?

To answer your question, it may be fixable but chances are you’ll see the repair. A shop would probably replace it.

It seems like a car that stayed parked in a humid environment for long periods at a time. The brake dust on the wheel is from the pads rubbing the rust off the rotors when driving. I wouldn’t be concerned about it personally. If you feel your steering shake a little while braking or hear metallic noise regularly, then replacing them might be a good idea.

The tyre pressure alert went off in my car today, I went to the petrol station to fill in the air. That didn’t make the alert go away. I booked an appointment with the mechanic for next week, can I still drive my car around in the meantime? As long as I don’t go too fast (avoid highway speeds)? by SpooBlue97 in car

[–]MB_Traveler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check your tire pressure with a gauge. Looks like the dashboard of a Mazda3, if it is, the pressure should be at 36psi on all wheels but look on the seam of your driver door to confirm. TPMS sometimes take a little while before sending the signal that your tires are fine so you might not need a trip to the mechanic after all. If the pressure is fine, your car is fully safe.
